Oak Ridge vs Mount Juliet tomorrow! I'm fairly sure that's what this thread was intended to be about. I support the 2019 Oak Ridge Wildcat Football team. Like a lot of people, I have been in Oak Ridge for decades, and follow the Wildcats year after year. I too know quite a bit of the history, but it is only that... history. It cannot be rewritten... replayed...or replaced. With God's grace, there will be no serious injuries. The good sportsmanship of these boys, along with a strong team effort...you just never know what will happen on any given Friday night. RWR!2 points

Here is an update about the NFHS broadcast from Ooltewah: We will try to broadcast the game. It will be from a hotspot so it will look better on smaller screens and may buffer some. But we will try our best to make it go smoothly.2 points

Lighten up, it was a joke. BTW, I am a proud follower of Christ, but I'm also not a self righteous fogie. Life is too short trying to find fault with silly meaningless things like "going off topic" on a High School football message board. Get real, and get a sense of humor. Good Lord.1 point

I thought this was a thread about the Oak Ridge/Mt Juliet game, not a biblical sermon? Get back on topic, CG!! Sorry, but I had to.1 point

1 Corinthians 13:11 King James Version (KJV) 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.1 point

If you think that God's grace is a "feel good" thing, then you are an empty vessel. You can be filled, but not with childish thoughts. Remember friend, children's games are just that. Regardless the age of the participants. Good sportsmanship and no serious injuries are what you consider "feel good" things as well? I hope your remarks are simply out of ingorance, and not trying to induce hatred and bad feelings. There is far too much of this in our nation today. May God's peace be upon you.1 point

Decided to stay in Nashville after work to catch this game and Stratford is dominating the time of possession. I bet East hasn't ran 10 plays.1 point

It’s much deeper than what you think. I actually doubt we score more than 50 or so on them. Also I read this board last season. Where are those WhitWell posters? They had one in particular that was as annoying as some of ours. Redheadtiger or something like that.1 point

My take on Hville this year and the game with the Wave. i was very concerned going into the season. After losing 6 of the front 7 on D and the entire starting O Line with most of those being 2 and 3 year starters and coupling that with an extremely tough schedule. Out of region games with the #1 team in the state in 6A in Oakland, a very good Indy team, and in my opinion the 2 best 5A teams in the state in Beech and Gallatin. A lot of teams talk about playing a tough schedule but it’s all talk. We actually went out and did it and excluding the Oakland game have played well in spots. I believe our coaching staff has done a good job developing those young and inexperienced players and have had a good plan every week. As far as Gallatin goes you can attribute their success to 2 things. New coaching staff and their tremendous improvement on the O and D lines. Briggs is the likely Mr football winner and when you watch them on film you see the tremendous job they do up front despite teams stacking 9 and 10 guys in the box. On D it starts with their D line keeping blockers off the LB’s and allowing them to make plays. They have elite speed on D which allows them to make up for any errors they make. Nobody has moved the ball against them consistently all year, nobody. For us to be competitive Friday we cannot not allow any home runs to Briggs or Banks and need to control the ball. Always look forward to going to the Waveyard as we are always treated well by Principal Becker and the administration at GHS. Added bonus and the best thing is that I get to see my 6 month old granddaughter at the game.1 point

The Day of Reckoning is Coming. And it shall fall upon Whitwell like a mighty force. A force never before seen to human kind. A force of Biblical proportions. And all that dwell in Red Tiger land shall cry out in one voice, Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far, far away. The Day of Reckoning is Coming.1 point

Yeah old friend, this was a flame of sorts to a couple of Houston posters. Not anything bad towards Meigs. Meigs was only mentioned because he thinks we will represent the East. It was basically born to poke the bear posters of Houston County. Trollin on the other hand thinks we arent capable. I knew after I met Vandy, Trollin wasn't the best they had to offer.1 point

You talking about the canceled game?...............how did Red Bank have anything to do with that? Only GOD can make Lighten in the sky, and TSSAA officials to see it? My guess, is RB would have won it? unapproved website agrees............. neutral field [2019] Red Bank (Chattanooga, TN) 35, [2019] South Pittsburg (TN) 171 point

I was waiting on someone to try and put blame on the private schools for the mess in Memphis. Didn't think it would come from one of the longtime posters on Coach T though. Also suits as you call them, can donate money to whatever they want to. After all it is their money. You must also remember that these suits also pay ridiculous amounts of property taxes which go to fund the public schools. Thus these suits are paying their way. Your comment was not exactly well-thought-out and is disappointing from a person of your stature on Coach T. The bottom line is a coach and a school played an ineligible player and they got caught. It is sad that the kids that did right have to pay the price but there is no other way to get around it. A school and a player were wrong. That is all that needs to be discussed.1 point

I’m not quite sure where you get intimidated from.... SP coach said the team could not play the following day due to a “field trip.” So you can get off your fence.....1 point

I understand, it must hurt knowing your Panthers will have to forfeit all their wins again this year. It's fitting that their color is orange. Cheaters cheaters pumpkin eaters.1 point

As you have difficulty staying on topic...and make light of Scripture..."Sorry". One day you will understand... hopefully not too late. I do wonder if any of the"regulars" here rejoice and give their all for the glory of God? My recent post is a desire for no serious injuries and good sportsmanship, all the while paying tribute to God. It appears that I am alone in this hope. Very sad.0 points

I can't wait for this game tomorrow night. We need to overtake this stadium at Tellico. Our kids are ready to play this week. I can't wait to get my purple and white on tomorrow night. We need to pack the stadium up on I75. These kids and coaches have worked so hard this season. We have a chance of gaining at least third place in our region with a win in this game. NO fake fans allowed this week. If you bleed purple and white you will make the trip to cheer for our kids. They will represent our school and town with the most integrity and honesty anyone has ever seen. We do it each and every week. As always it's a great day to be a warrior.
