They have one of the best band directors in the country. At any level. I'd trade him for a good football coach in a New York Minute.2 points

It’s like you read my mind with every word you wrote. Maryville has been so successful these last 20 plus years by being unpredictable, we no longer are . We were known for our smoke and mirror trick plays , misdirection, double reverses … a trick play now is throwing on first or second down. The 3 man line tonight was hard to watch . I could see that against a passing team but they passed 2 times .2 points

Parents are ruining sports from an early age all the way through HS. These parents wanted a change and forced their way into the school offices and got what they wanted. Now they don't want to deal with the backlash and all the negative attention that goes along with their inappropriate actions. I just hit the Google machine and this is being reported on almost every news station across the US, all the way up to Fairbanks, Alaska! But, continue to defend/deflect your actions. This is worse than the Greenback dumpster fire...2 points

Dyersburg is pissed. I made sure the players knew what primetime said on here2 points

No one will ever want this job now. You have an assistant principal/AD that hired himself to be the head coach when the talent was there and then resigned when all of those kids graduated. Now you have let the booster club members call the shots. The coaches kid did not do anything to cause SHS to lose to 3 pretty solid teams. Just awful for the administration there to let this play out this way.2 points

Onto Antioch, first off. They have a FRESHMAN Qb that will no doubt be a power 5 QB before all is said and done. The kid picked up his first D1 offer just this week as a freshman.. I’ve watched film on him and I’m not sure I’ve seen a better player at his age In my lifetime. In this state anyways. Now his supporting cast has some to be desired but when Antioch are clicking they are dangerous. They have a few speedsters and an RB or 2 that can tote the ball. After watching film on Antioch/Stewart’s Creek, Antioch simply outplayed Stewart’s Creek, Although I wasn’t too impressed with SC tbh. If MJ chooses to come out and play flat they could be in trouble. Antioch’s defense is where MJ has to capitalize, many drives I’ve watched them turn into full metro mode and provide gaping holes or busted coverages against opponents. All in all it’s good to see Antioch back to winning ways, I’m excited for this matchup and I think it’ll be a good test for MJ to either prove themselves or… who knows.2 points

William Blount used to have a fun rivalry with Ooltewah back in the 5A region 2 days. The sad thing about all the changes the TSSAA has made is how a lot of good rivalries like that one have died because of them.1 point

It's easy to run your cocke holster and talk about manhood behind a computer screen buddy. Why are you so upset a neutral party took a shot of a prediction west is a good team and I thought they were capable. If anyone is acting feminine it's the dude running his gab behind a keyboard and acting giddy bc a high school team won a good game. I have nothing against Alcoa nor do I care whether they win or lose I just enjoy making predictions even If I am wrong1 point

I agree 100% but if Dyersburg puts big package in on offense then this will be over if they don’t and let them hang around anything can happen1 point

I will make this as simple as I can so that everyone will understand..........It all starts at the top in a school system. If this is allowed to happen in Monroe County Schools, then the top Central Office personnel should be evaluated, then filtered down to the AD/Principal. They should be held accountable. The Board Of education should be embarrassed and they should not be allowed to seek re-election if this was allowed to happen under their watch. The parents involved should be ashamed and I hope they realize what they have done to the program and the long term affects that will stem from it. If the parents are on the Booster Club, then the Booster Club should be abolished or at least, parents involved in this should not be allowed to serve in the Booster Club. All these actions have hurt the kids involved and hurt families that ultimately were/are affected by their actions. Not good business.1 point

So Slover was solely focused on making his son "look good" without a single thought given to any other kid on the roster? Give me a break. It doesn't matter how many times these burner accounts keep trying to justify the actions of some prominent parents/fans who continue to show their collective a&&. The longer this charade goes on, the harder it's going to be for Sweetwater to come out of this in the long run.1 point

There was a late hit call for Alcoa real late in the game if I remember correct. West still won obviously. I think Alcoa wins this one. Both teams have played Bearden(AE/SD/Fulton/Gallatin) and won and I know the transitive property is not applicable to football. Both were close games that went down to the wire. Normally you would say West will out depth Alcoa being 5A v 3A but we all know that Alcoa is not your typical 3A school. West is more battle tested for sure at this point in the year. I'm going Alcoa by a score of 21-17.1 point

Clinton made some huge stops when they had to, but couldn't end up stopping the run when they needed. Their offense killed themselves with penalties and the QB made some terrible decisions trying to not get sacked. As a 4 year starter he should know better. Being a coaches son also that is the most direct reflection of their leader. Clinton did not run the ball enough outside where they outmatched AC's speed. 8 did not touch the ball enough for Clinton either. Credit AC for being stubborn and running the ball when their past success in recent history has been throwing since Gillum got there. Clinton is still very much alive for the playoffs and a home playoff game as long as they handle Lenoir city and Karns. Lenoir could give them trouble but Karns is a win. The question with them is, have the Non Clinton recruits gotten fed up with the losing. I'm sure there were some promises and hope of greener pastures when coming down Clinton hwy. They are for sure battle tested. So if they can finish strong they will get a terrible team from the region they draw in the playoffs and win a game or two and HC will leave to "watch his son". 4A is very winnable for AC they should make a great run again and end up playing either Greeneville or Elizabethton. Which both of those programs seem to be down for their standards. Anything is possible for them Jeff Co Qb transfer looked good for AC. Jeff Co/OR WR transfer looked good as well. Without both of them AC is very one dimensional so kudos to them for being able to recruit them over.1 point

Another great test for the Owls. Think we've proven ourselves as a legitimate 2A team, but Upperman seems to be a different beast right now. Not saying we can't win, because we can, especially being at home. The Bees are obviously coming to Carthage as a solid favorite, but who knows.1 point
