Crow, this is hard to watch. We’re off tonight so I’ve been watching. Holy cow, TP isn’t very good, but Oneida has regressed a ton in the last few years. Looks like y’all have a bunch of kids that like to get dressed up in the uniform and momma and daddy hooking them up with son gear from Hibbet’s and not the old school Oneida teams. Where’s the kids that were hard nosed and gritty like we played a couple of times? I can’t believe what I just watched in the 1st half. I didn’t expect such a pitiful performance, even after reading all of this stuff this year. The Oneida MS team from 10 years ago would beat this Oneida HS team. Hope y’all can get it back together.3 points

On October 25th ETSU will be hosting a High School Football Doubleheader. It’s called Clash For Compassion. At 5pm Happy Valley will play Unaka. At 8 pm Hampton will play Eagleton. Admission is free but they will be selling shirts with the 4 schools logos & says Clash Of Compassion. They will also be taking donations!!!! I guess they seen my idea but still think Careacter Charity Football Classic on Thursday & Saturday during week 1 of the High School playoffs would be a great idea too. Get on it Coach Moore. We’re getting the gang back together lol1 point

Very true. JCM was out of sorts all night! Really couldn't tell what their game plan was honestly. Thought they held up good enough on D to make it a game but offensively seemed lost.1 point

Wow! Worse coaching malpractice I’ve seen in a while. Clock Management 101… That’s not on youth! Take the timeout, clock it, do something besides wasting 50 seconds in FG range to win.1 point

Congrats, good win for the Bobcats! See you in a couple of weeks for the region!1 point

First time I watched that video laughed till I had a headache. I couldn’t catch my breath 😂1 point

Yeah, Covington Coach Kirby only played JV players after the half, on both offense and defense. The JV scored twice and gave up one TD on defense. What else can you do?1 point

GREAT call on the pineapple Fajitas Crowe! Now hopefully we can get through this game and the Big O not give us a long trip back like times in the past!!!1 point

Not at you specifically, but the person or combination of people that are making our schedule. At the end of the day there is somebody that has to be held accountable. If teams in the past have been physical and won those match ups, but maybe one year the team doesn't show that grit, I'm willing to chalk it up to something other than the Head ball coach. But we have seen it repeatedly happen. We've had the size and talent but the physicality hasn't matched those two qualities. I'm a fan of Tim and wish nothing but the best for him and Marion County. He has turned us into a stable program and attracted talent that other coaches wouldn't have had the capability to in my humble opinion. I probably have higher expectations than most but I think this team should be playing at a higher level than what it has been. How they respond tonight will tell us how serious this team is about making a run at the gold.1 point

Very true you never know what a team will do till it’s game time. I would just to see them play a disciplined program every one in while. Playing teams on schedule this year had athletes but all of this teams never played with a plan or discipline. Upperman and Boyd always looking for games1 point

There were some really good games between the 2 as well. 2009 was a really good game, so was the 2010 semifinal game, as well as the 2012 playoff game. Was knotted up at 25 in the 4th, if I remember correctly.1 point

You don't think it was a shot? Lol ok maybe not. Not saying that Tyner is a defending state champion returning all 22 starters. Just to remind people that every few years Tyner has a pretty good team. The bad thing is fans believe too much hype sometimes and get on here and crown state champions based on a bunch of old men's analogies. I love the kids on this team and wish nothing but the best for them. Sequatchie and Tyner both were the more physical team. If you want to pin that on coaches it's fine with me, but sometimes you gotta hit someone back when you're getting punched in the mouth.1 point

For such a great game, it's crazy that the best tackle came after it was over with. Look at the form. He ran to where the eagle was going to be, so he had the right angle. He led with his shoulder, not his head. He got down low and got the power from his hips and legs. It was sad that the kid got a concussion from it though.1 point

The Maddox family moved to Clinton when Barrett Maddox, who is now at Marshall, was a freshman. His family made the move because his parents, and I assume he himself, didn’t like the coaching that was going on at Central. I'm not sure if they had a conversation about it or just preferred the coaching at Clinton, but the younger brother was never zoned for Central. He only played football for the Central middle school team because, at the time, the Central middle school coach was one of the best developers, that’s why a lot of good talent around the Knoxville area tended to go there. I’m not sure where he is today, but he’s definitely not at Central, I think he’s at Webb or something. Anyway, the younger brother was never zoned for Central. He’s always been bound for Clinton.1 point

The combination of Forrest’s talent and Marion county’s bad habit of playing with their food will keep this game close WAY longer than it should be. Marion county should be able to pull this one out , they are the better team by 30 points, but I would be suprised if they won by more than 14.1 point

Houston County has two chances in this game. Slim and None. McKenzie by mercy rule.1 point

I feel bad for the kids... This is awful. Im sure the middle school could have given them a game.1 point
-
I understand your feelings however, the QB for that team last night was forced to set out all season by our friendly neighbors to our north. That was his first and only game of the middle school season for him. Also, I believe them passing actually helped you because it took more time off of an already running clock and wasn’t guaranteed positive yards like it was every single time they handed the ball off. Congratulations young Pirates on your championship.1 point

I’m a homer, but CPA defense just seems next level to me this year. 14 did look good, but I don’t think 10 had time to focus on him a lot. FRA / CPA in two weeks should be a good game.1 point

That’s what kills me about Oneida football over the last 10 years. They always seem to have more athletes than the opposing team. (Always have big strong athletic lineman) At some point you have to look at why these kids aren’t getting developed or producing on Friday nights from a coaching/staff standpoint.1 point

Cool, who do you brings in that’s what’s to get dirt cheap pay and to coach in 6a football, the dead ends of dead ends. Might as well be a 4A team that isn’t from Carter or Greene county and try to win. Hilton is a fine enough coach, you just don’t realize your athletes aren’t as good as you think they are. Join the club, we’ve all come to accept it in our own schools.1 point

I would like see them do a better job of evening up the regions. Shouldn't have some regions with 4 teams and others with 8. Especially considering 4 teams make the playoffs from each region. You end up with subpar teams in the playoffs because they didn't even have to win a single game in a 4 team region. Meanwhile in an 8 team region you can have a winning record and miss the playoffs because you lost the wrong games.1 point

I've got all 9 Memphis area schools in one single region 8 in class 2A.1 point
-
I'm going to say if that I will disagree with you if I am the TSSAA. Put all of Region 7 teams inside Region 8 (exclude Halls). Halls should be paired with Union City, Milan, Peabody, and Gibson County, and create that as Region 7. Region 6 should be Adamsville, JCM, Huntingdon, Scotts Hill, and Riverside.1 point

Ya and im not to sure i believe some of these numbers. Especially uppermen. They got way more then 900 and people moving in by the droves every day.1 point

McKenzie definitely looking the like the clear favorite but games ain’t won on paper and that’s why they make you kick it off and play 48 minutes of football1 point

Been catching up on this post. Looks like Goodpasture is teetering close to Ezell in terms of going over the ledge with no way to return. Will they win a game this year?1 point
