  1. A principal has to approve of a transfer first. Once the principal approves then it goes to central office. We both know that if a principal approves of a transfer to their school that the people at central office will approve.

  2. Thanks for the pub, WG We put together a pretty good group of coaches this season for Pin-TN. We're using a points based system the same most polls use with emphasis on the top 6 scoring points (i.e. 1st place = 6pts, 6th place = 1 pt) and 1st place votes are in parentheses (max of 8) next to the wrestler's name. As the season moves along we'll highlight head to head matches, weight class changes, etc as Pin-TN has done every year. Good luck to all of the wrestlers this season and thanks again for the post.

  3. I agree with most of what you're saying, except I don't think he made sure that the current players on his team stayed together while they were in little league ball because he was at another school. Now is he trying to keep the current teams in little league together sure. What coach wouldn't? All these haters on the recruiting issues would do the exact same thing and not bat an eye. They are just mad because they can't.

  12. That's what I'm afraid of. It's currently listed to be broadcast by BC on NFHS, but you really never know.

  16. Brayden Palmer (UTC) dominated the field at the Clarion open. This man might be the stingiest 125er in the country and he put on an absolute master class with respect to top and bottom position. He beat HS phenom Marcus Blaze (6-4) in the finals who had just beat the number 1 ranked Matt Ramos out of Perdue in the semi-finals. He ran into Baylor alum Nick Corday along the way and delivered a strong message to the 125 pound weight class with this performance. Hunter Mason (VT) won the Freshman/Sophomore division in his debut college tournament (The Southeast Open). He won by major, fall, major, fall, and in the finals yet another fall at just 1 minute and 44 second mark. Congrats to Ethan Lipsey for taking fourth in the freshmen/sophomore division as well.

  17. 1st game we played it was 27-20 @ Half MC….Eagleville is a legit team …coached well with some good players & MC can’t afford to over-look them or we could get beat…..BUT I don’t see that happening MC coaches & players are focused on one game at a time & know task ahead to reach our goal….GO RAIDERS!!

  18. Man alive - if folks spent half as much of their time supporting their team as they did fretting about who transferred from one place to the other, all the teams would be in much better shape. Coaches would never have to ask for help to get some of the dirty jobs around the field and stadium done.

  19. on a serious note, i hope eagleville hangs in and keeps this close for a while.

  20. Westview will lose with honor. Go into the offseason and have Simpson 2 at QB next season.

  21. Hopefully the team doesn’t have the same attitude. They will be sitting at home for the semi finals.

  22. Hard to have a discipline program when it is run by a renegade cheat. But Bearden admin knew exactly what they were getting so I guess they are prioritizing a few decent seasons over a program of integrity and hard work. At least those Bearden kids that have grown up loving the Bulldogs can stand on the sideline and cheer these recruits on.

  23. drop in the hat.....more footballs loss on the north end of them southern Baptist goalpost at Silverdale.....the amount of pigskins lost on that north end of Bradley County goalpost may even be close..... ...can remember a few years back when ND could score bunches...that Irish HC started goin for two after a 30 point lead...just to keep from losin balls on that north end at Silverdale Booger just sayin

  25. Not much to talk about, upperman should cruise to semis

  26. I’m pulling for Macon County, but losing that lineman might be too much to overcome. If this game is played in Lafayette, they win, but in Chattanooga Red Bank has to be the favorite. Either way the season ends next week when Upperman takes the field. Upperman to play the winner of Greenevull and Betsy.

  27. Little secret. I love the Eagleville folk. My oldest boy that is 25 went to Central Magnet and played with the Eagleville team back then. Spent a lot of time out there and really like that community. Ya gotta make the ice cream! I'm bringing a hot thermos of coffeewith a little Lynchburg local flavor in it.

  39. I want to address this over here bc I don't want to derail the thread it originated on. You can win championships with reasonable talent, MJ has sent a steady stream of kids to FBS and FCS so I don't think talent is the issue. The issue IMO is MJ clearly isn't getting better over the course of the season, or at least as much as they should. This is the 2nd time in 3 seasons they've collapsed down the stretch, they did recover to beat Rockvale, but the Rockets were also down to their 3rd string QB I believe. The struggles are partly due to the fact that MJ doesn't play elite competition until its absolutely forced to. I think the other part of this equation is the offense, feels like every time they've hit a rough patch or don't achieve their potential, it's on that side of the ball. I have no doubt MJ will play hard, but trying to guess a score is anybody's guess. Oakland could win by 35, or they could win by 3-7 and neither would surprise me

  40. Here's my recipe for home made Banana Ice cream. 1 3/4 cups of heavy cream 1 1/4 cup whole milk 3/4 cup of sugar (sometimes I add a little extry) 1 tbsp of pure vanilla extract 1 banana The secret to good ice cream is the proper banana. Ya know how your wife freezes them nanners for nanner bread when they turn brown? That is the exact same banana to use. lay on a plate and thaw for bout 30 minutes. Then put the banana in a blender but when you do, make sure to squeeze all the liquid drippings out of the peel. Pro tip: That is where the real flavor comes from. Then just make the ice cream as you always would in one of those homemade old school icecream makers with rock salt and ice. Although I do use the electric and not the truly old school crank model. I did my time on those when I was younger. Have a great one for strawberry as well if anyone wants it. Your welcome.

  46. I have been thinking about the best defensive players I have seen in my time in West TN. Chris Donald from Huntingdung (played at UT), Rod Smith and Avery Williamson (Memphis and Kentucky/Titans) were all dominant players. But “Big K” changes the game. Teams have to do things they may not want to cause they just can’t run the ball. They have to get the edge or go vertical and qbs don’t have much time to get vertical. He will definitely not have the best stats of the Mr. Football candidates but I believe he may be the most impactful.
