Hey even if it's our last week, it has been a great season. Only 4 teams remain in 3A and Dburg is one of them. Who does this poster follow or have allegiance too? Trojans just go play the game, leave it on the field, and see what happens. Win or lose it's been a heck of a season.

@CoachT, Coach, I'd rather see a topic get locked instead of it getting completely deleted from view. To me it's a bit unfair to the winning school to have a game thread deleted. If I'm on the losing end & I dont want any "thread" evidence remaining, all I'd have to do is show my rear end & get said topic deleted. We use to lock topics and it was a good reminder to some , not all, but to some to remain civil. And it allows folks to see why a certain topic was locked. Deletion is simpler but I think it's not a good precedent to set or continue. I'm all for throwing folks back in CoachT jail like it was in the olden days.

I don't think we need to overcomplicate this matchup. West has allowed 5 points post season. Walker Valley has allowed 64. Their opponents for the post-season have similar records. Have to believe that the only Defense that was comparable to West that WV has faced was Bradley Central. Yes WV has three shut-outs. They were also shutout once. WV really hasn't played a schedule to prepare them for this game. On the BC game was a really tough opponent and that ended very badly. The strength of schedule ratings from Maxp arent even comparable. But I will say, WV and Rhea county in particular have always been very tough blue collar teams. That's what I expect to see in this game. But west has also shown a bluecollar mindset since the current coach arrived. and now they have the belief they can win it all. I don't know what they have coming up, but they sure seem like they could stay good for quite a while.

Wellington and Farrior at SP have played some pretty good teams too. MTCS is in the D2 title game. I’ve read the belly aching on here for over a year now about the Moore County kid. “Dawson is head and shoulders…this and that.” News flash.. other teams have good players as well. I’m not a betting man but if I were I’d say he wins it this year.

Well rounded is the best way to describe them. They only give up about 13 pts a game and have 3 shutouts. They tackle very well and do a good job of keeping things in front of them. However, they don’t necessarily force a lot of turnovers or come away with a lot of sacks either. They have a good run defense led by their linebackers. The defensive line has plays well against the run but they don’t get a ton of pressure. Secondary has some good athletes that can play. Offensively the passing game is very dangerous and Schwarzl is the cog that makes that offense go. They don’t turn the ball over. I think Schwarzl has thrown 2 picks all year and they haven’t lost any fumbles. If you look at the 2 losses Walker Valley has East Ham and Bradley. The two common things is both teams ran the ball very well on WV and Schwarzl the QB did not play very well. WV can’t afford a slow start on offense this game. If they come out firing and having success, this could be a really good game. For West they have to shut down Schwarzl. Keep him in check and west rolls in to Chattanooga

Dude, let it go...the vote is already in, it's a regular season award. Actually it's more of a popularity contest that begins a year or two before a players senior season... been hearing Dawson White's name mentioned for two years at least regarding this award, and nothing on your RB. He may in fact be the best 1A player in Tn., but no press/not many votes in NW Tn./and the team suffered too many L's. There are others, but the winner will be one of the names you've been hearing/reading dating back earlier than this past August.

We all knew these excuses were coming. Ok McKenzie’s tailback has a bad ac joint sprain but still rushed for 175 yrds, a receiver wearing a club with a broken hand who scored the go ahead touchdown in the first half and also plays on defense, their best defensive lineman has a bad knee that’s caused him to miss numerous games this season and is even lucky to be playing but was able to cause the fumble on the first MC possession of the game, and their leading tackler has a torn ligament in his shoulder who made plays all night SO please stop with the dang excuses. Imagine if they were all healthy. My mustangs got beat last night so I’m rooting for the rebels for now on out. Got some family on the team so as long as they are playing, I’ll be rooting them on. The MC quarterback was scrambling around like he always has. You got beat so just say you got beat by the better team and move on.

HC coach is a good man, but he should be careful about what he says in regards to Southwind having out of zone players. A lot of people know that HC is supposed to be in 6A based off enrollment but is 5A due to some “adjustment” of numbers.
