Don’t sleep on Springfield on the west side of the bracket. The Jackets have home field as long as they win all the way through the Semis. It won’t be an easy task by any means, but the last two years they’ve been to Cookeville once and then lost in the semis on the road. I like it when everyone underestimates the Jackets.

We’ve beat our last two opponents 127-6, what’s that 80%? Even if they are terrible. Some people need to get their feet on the ground a little more. Wanting a team that rushes for 300 a game to throw it some more. I bet he’s one of the guys that yells “Open up the playbook a little more!!” when we’re up 35-0 in the second quarter.

I doubt Coach has made much money off of this site over the years, but it's clear that the site is a labor of love. As someone entering retirement myself, I can testify to the importance of having something you enjoy doing. I would encourage everybody who enjoys using the site to consider becoming a Plus member. I've spoke to some of the region 5 head coaches and most are putting together 2 game plans. Apparently they've been told by TSSAA they will know the destination of all teams on Tuesday.

Time to make the March to cookeville. This team minus the Giles game has gotten better each week. Coach Osteen and company will be playing the day after Thanksgiving this year.

All of the match ups this week will be interesting I think. Forrest is the only undefeated team out of all of region 5 and 6 and I picked them to win yalls region before the season started so they are the team to beat in my opinion in this part of the bracket. I don't know anything about Eagleville yet, I saw the 2nd half comeback Lewis Co made at Camden and they have some big dudes on their line, watched a little film on Summertown last night and I think that there will be some Dang good games this week!

OmahaPatriot: It's obvious you either didn't look at RWs schedule or you just don't know HS football. Whitehaven and MUS alone are equal if not better then HC. West Monroe is probably in the same category. Also, playing at the Haven is very difficult. Playing at Paris, TN is NOT more difficult then that. I know about the atmosphere at HC. LOL ... I understand you are excited an all of that but ... calm down.

I liked the Z-plan until they tweaked it and used overall record as a tie breaker. I understand some teams got in with under 500 records but if you put a value on opponents, the overall record should never have come into play. Some teams played in weaker districts and scheduled weaker opponents. Some teams played in tougher districts and scheduled tougher opponents. I always wanted to see teams who made the playoffs seeded 1-16 on each half of the state. 1 vs 16, 2/15, 3/14 and so on. With the higher seeded team hosting each round. Reseed the bracket each round as well. Not allow teams from the same district to play each other until the quarterfinals.

Really looking forward to the playoffs. Hope all teams are getting healthy and stay that way throughout each team’s run. Lets get it Meigs Tigers!!!

Thank you for that. I'm sure that you've had opportunities to profit from this site that would've changed the experience for the "regulars". I hope that you've figured out a means for this little creation of yours to make you financially secure, because you've provided a pastime for me that has paid many dividends. I've met some great folks in person that I might've just walked past without coachT, or never saw at all… I've also become sort of "familiar" with programs and their traditions from farther away than would have been possible, and had the avenue to follow players and their career's that would have prior just been "legends" by word of mouth. Very proud of how Dylan came in and He looked very good . You could see him gaining confidence with every play , the young man is a winner !

Dylan looked solid tonight. Threw some nice balls, a couple of which were just flat out dropped. He has a bright future in college football, IMO.

If we show up like last Friday, which I doubt the players/couches want to get embarrassed Like that again, we will get mercy ruled. With such a young team I’m ready to move onto next season anyway. This batch of players just don’t mesh well together and CONSTANTLY MAKE TERRIBLE MISTAKES. Not fun to watch.

Yup, a lot truth to that, but, from 2000 to 2006. 6 year period, Alcoa won 4 State Championships with 3 different coaches. IMO, the Alcoa city limits has the best athletes in the Blount County/Knoxville Area.

The season can't get here soon enough. There should be some exciting games in district 5AAA.

Those two games will be fun to see, Meigs returns every one. And I think these games could go ether way. Both teams play really fast. Meigs puts a lot of pressure on the ball and they can shoot the light out of it. Bradley will have the size advantage. It will help both teams by playing each other. Meigs also has Oak Ridge on the schedule. Should be a fun year.
