Not Trolling....I have always visited the 1A threads every time I am on Coach T because I love the smaller community schools, there is so much more passion for these teams. For many years I have respected SP and their program, it was on my bucket list to attend a SP / Marion game and a few years back I drove two hours to see that game and even though I didn't know a soul it was one of the best HS environments I have ever witnessed. I have been coming to the 1A boards long enough to know that SP has been accused of doing very similar things that you and Roy have spent two months accusing GB of doing. At the end of the day, if you have a great program there are going to be outside kids and families that want to be a part of it, and if those families are willing to make the move within the rules of TSSAA, I don't know of any school that is going to turn them down. I am sure SP has benefitted from transfers on more than one occasion because a kid and his family wanted to be a part of a great program, so why do you see the need to do all the bashing that you have done because kids want to be a part of GB. I will bow out of the conversation and let you go back to doing what you feel like you need to do. Good day....

Absolutely. They were big, fast, always in position, and swarmed the ball in numbers. When they got to you, they delivered a shot, and the rest didn't take it for granted that their teammate had the tackle made, they wanted to hit you before the whistle blew too. Very few teams that I've ever seen in person could check all the boxes that I've mentioned without leaving the impression that they "played dirty" or would cheap shot someone if they had the chance, but the Tigers were classy in the way they went about business... I'm sure that there's film still out there on them from '16 if you want to see it for yourselves. We (SH) had a very potent offense that year and managed only two touchdowns in two games against them.

Seems more like a fair question than hate. The last few playoffs haven't been good to PC.

I agree with this. That kid had huge stats. I don’t know about the kids from the west but I’d venture to say Greenback’s guy is the best QB in 1A. I stopped trying to figure it out the year Eddie Moore didn’t win it for SP though.

Great honor for all these skill players. It's a shame they dont recognize the lineman anymore. Pretty sure all these young men couldn't do what they do without the big boys up front

The top 6 from each weight class is what Hamm ranks for AAA. Some states rank more. Kentucky for example ranks 20 in each weight class.

Tanner Snyder has 1300 yards passing with 19 tds and 1 pick. He has rushed for 1200 yards and 19 tds. He has 12 2 pt conversions. Tubbs has 1400 yards and 24 tds. These two kids have played exactly 3 full games this season. They have been taken out of 7 games at the half. So, you do the rest of the math. Snyder and Tubbs numbers would be through the roof if they got to play in the 2nd half of games. Snyder also is completing 68 percent of his passes.

Thanks for your kind words Iron. These are bunch of kids that simply bring it all every single game. They are going to be a tough out for whoever they face along the way. SGC got the hardest route to the semis. Covington, then Milan. Fortunately, they are all going to be at home. No long boring drives to Covington!

This is essentially my take on this as well. Bus route rule may be OK for some situations but not in every scenario. Lincoln County High and Fayetteville are both in Fayetteville. The schools are less than a mile apart as the crow flies. There is more animosity than cooperation between the two. They both view Lincoln County as their territory and to rule the athlete is eligible at one school but not the other is ridiculous.

Imo, the bus route rule is ridiculous, however, I've heard from an AD or two that said the rule has been in place for a while, and always took the rule into consideration. So, as bad as I hate it for Fayetteville, the initial blame has to go on them. However, Childress is at fault as wel for the initial all clear.

I knew he lived in Dandridge, and owns many of the franchises of Taco Bell and Long John Silvers. Personally speaking, I admire him for his investment in Christian education.

Some guy named Hodges is the OC (and from what I hear runs the program). Not impressed by the product. Had succes running the ball, but wanted to throw it a lot without much arm talent or WR talent. The center is huge and a good player, The left side of the OL was pretty good. The right, not so much. I am not sure who the DC is (maybe Trevor Denton), but they got worse as the year went on. Mark Moore (a former player at JC and Appy St) coached the DBs who were constantly put in man coverage and struggled. Jonathan Brimer (former player and son of long time assistant) and Bill Delozier are also on staff in some capacity.

AAA has a unique formula for calculating the outcome of these games. It is a bit complicated and the algorithm would blow the minds of the common person. After hours of double checking the numbers the outcome is still Maryville. : ) Should be some exciting soccer...!

I miss going to the practices!I always loved watching the line drills,when i coached youth league i used those same drills (the ones not banned) our lines were always very good.I was telling a guy the other day lineman are a whole different breed than anyone else on the team.We get dirty every play and we hit someone EVERY play!!Man what a great game.

Man, it was horrible being in region 8. They brought nobody to games and it really hurt the gate money compared to rural communities that support their football. So glad to be in this region with programs like Milan, SG, and McNasty...even though we cheer against each other most weeks, we share the same passion for our high school football and our towns. Makes it so much more fun on Friday night!

I've got over 160 Coaches numbers, Roy. I've got 15 minutes set aside for each class tonight. That's 90 minutes if your counting. That leaves time for 2 coaches segments. We've got 64 games to discuss tonight. If that doesn't interest you, then you and Wendy can watch Matlock reruns like you do the other nights of the week.

We'll be live at 6:00 PM tonight as we pick all 64 games in Division one.

If the team is this loaded why did they go through a season with the third easiest schedule in all of 2A football? Their strength of schedule ranks 45 out of 47 teams in 2A! Games with any of the above mentioned teams would have been the game of the week in TN football. Lake County and Huntingdon have already disputed that any effort to schedule them was made. One would also think Haywood County would rather play Peabody than travel to north Mississippi to get thrashed by Olive Branch.

Until we actually can win a Playoff games it's hard for everybody to believe we can. Like Trapp alot, but he can not win the big games.

I'm a DeKalb Co fan, but that's absolutely hilarious and spot on. We've been to the 2nd Rd one time under Trapp. Time to get ready for basketball as bad as I hate that thought.
