If we play south Pitt in the future at south Pitt then I'm gonna contact TSSAA about removing the cannon. It's just for safety reasons. It could cause a elder person to have a heartache.3 points

I know this is a little off topic but I was going over some rosters and the first one I looked at was, of course, Covington. I must say, I got a little excited seeing a lot of familiar names returning next year and thinking a return to Cookeville may be in order. Then I looked at Pearl Cohn's roster and saw the amount of underclassman on that roster, not to mention, the main numbers (17, 7, 3) will all be returning. Now, I'm thinking that this is a State Championship type squad who will probably be favored next year. UNTIL I took a peak at Alcoa's roster and saw the UNGODLY amount of juniors and key players (Carroll, Saaunkey, ect) that will be returning next year and came to the conclusion that the rest of 3A might as well give them next year's Gold ball this weekend and take a year off...lol. Needless to say, 3A will be even tougher next year than this year and based off the play of all these young players on each of these teams should be really exciting and could probably challenge any squad from any division. Good luck to PC and Alcoa this Friday.....and, dang, I'm looking forward to the 2020 season already.3 points

Silly little guys tapping on a computer do not make atmosphere. Take a look in the stands, the school, the neighborhoods-I think you will see a mountain of support for D2 schools and the Bruins in particular. For all past teams and present, USJ deserves a gold ball. Hope they get it and hoist it high. Pulling for the Bruins big time!3 points

To pretend that the USJ program isn't supported because people aren't on CoachT arguing about petty nonsense and decades old grudges is ridiculous. Funny how the boosters (i.e. USJ supporters!) were getting blamed on here for meddling when the team was losing....Do the boosters get credit now?? I enjoy the banter as much as anyone, but let's be honest: message boards are a dying technology. It's just a few of us talking back and forth to ourselves. Who cares. Anyway. Can't wait to watch this one. DA humbled USJ the first time around. Their formula is to try to repeat that, control the line of scrimmage, pound the rock and run the clock. I think USJ will be prepared for the level of physicality this time. They have the size up front, and the the front seven on D was very fast and physical against NCS. Weather looks good for tomorrow. On a turf field, USJ's speed and playmaking should be too much. I look for USJ to win this one going away and bring their first gold ball back to Jackson! Either way, getting to play for a gold ball is a special day for these young men on both sides. Something they'll look back on for the rest of their lives.3 points

We'll do a postgame show this Sunday at 3:00 Central Time. We'll have interviews with all Coaches postgame for Division 1 Title games. We had 10 of these 12 Coaches on our show this season, so it should be a relaxed and interesting interview as we get their take on how the games played out. Please take the time to SUBSCRIBE to our channel so you can set a reminder to catch the show. Anyone still following the boards at this phase of the season is either a diehard fan like us or directly involved in theses games through one of the 12 teams. We appreciate those of you who joined us this season. It's been a great year for us and we look forward to an even better 2020 season on the Friday Main Event! Here is a link to the show for Sunday if you'd like to navigate there now and turn the reminder on: Friday Main Event Blue Cross Bowl Postgame Recap2 points

Watching some hudl highlights EHS QB will be tough to defend since he’s so elusive. Jackets have defensive speed so it will be interesting to see how this will shake out. QB like that can be dangerous with the RPOs and read options imo. Saw some WR screens that were well blocked. I expect the Cyclones to make plays and I expect the Jacket coaches to adjust and make plays. I expect both teams to have their way at times on both sides of the ball. Neither team can really afford self inflicted mistakes imo. Also......I grew up a Vols fan here in Northern MidTN so .... to Jason Whitten2 points

I promise you, I am as far from a LC fan as you can get. The deal is I’m a fan of teams doing things the right way. I don’t like how GB has gotten this far this season. Plain and simple, THEY WOULD NOT BE HERE IF THEY DIDNT GO OUT AND GET THESE PLAYERS! I don’t want to here about LC getting a player or two. People move. However, 1a teams don’t reload in the positions they need filled. Unless something is up.2 points

We will see who is laughing Saturday. PrivateForrest you are just a straight up #### and it’s pretty obvious nobody likes you or your posts.2 points

Do they want to? Or does an adult (other than a parent) want them to? That's one of the main reasons why the majority of transfer rules exist.2 points

God bless y’all Peabody fans. You are the biggest homers on coach T. If I didn’t know better I would believe Meigs is fixing to play LSU Saturday.2 points

We have one of the most loyal and supportive fan bases you will find anywhere. High expectations is part of the job at OR. The fans want to compete for championships. If a coach viewed that as a bad thing or an unrealistic expectation, then OR is clearly not a place where a guy would want to come coach.2 points

95 of those 100 pages are from 5 posters going back and forth. I think our players and fans enjoyed the atmosphere at NCS last week. You can create an "atmosphere' in other ways than posting on a message board. Did you see how many people USJ brought to the 2011 championship?2 points

Good teams do !! Tide never quit ! forrest did ! Wish the general would be more like his team lime he said quote "quitters more worried bout vaping and their girfriends" Meigs never quit they exorcised a TC demon and now the only teams that was good enough to make it get to dance !!!!!1 point

Yep and I was right there helping carry some of the wheel chairs up to the top row. So again, no smoke and mirrors for me. I'm not saying I agree with anything regarding facilities and orchestration, I'm simply giving respect WHERE it is due when it comes to me and my family.1 point

Summit's PA is by far the worst that I have seen in my 45+ years of going to games as far as class, sportsmanship, and just overall ability. He really puts a stain on an otherwise good atmosphere.1 point

Lol you don’t know what you are talking about. It definitely wasn’t about the money. He came home to Camden for his family. At the end of the day... family is more important than football and McConnell definitely isn’t concerned with more money even though money always helps. Martin even tried to give him more money and he still turned it down. He is home, where he is supposed to be. His parents and wife and kids all wanted to be in Camden and that is where they will be for good. Congratulations to Coach McConnell and his family.1 point

We aren't practicing plays this week, we are practicing smoke signals etc. We have to send Peabody some footage on how to smoke us off of them.1 point

Tell Stephenson to clear a spot on that schedule during regular season to play TC and that will give you a measuring stick of where you fall early in the year. He knows all to well about TC from when he was a RBS. He doesn't want that smoke again!1 point

I just thought they were really bad homers, but man this takes the cake....1 point

Most of the people are not Alcoa fans that are popping off. They come out of the woodwork this time of year. I think Alcoa respects P-C. I remember big John Henderson almost killing a Maryville running back on the frozen Vanderbilt "turf" in 1997. That game started a good run for MHS. I'll be watching this one.1 point

Foul plagued game that kept both teams out of a good flow. Hart never got untracked offensively but played a great game on defense when she was in there. Dresden's defense lost Bass early on and she lit it up from beyond the arc to build an early lead. Dresden defense shored up and held GC to 2 field goals 2nd half. Wynn had trouble finishing inside but Childress was deadly on the mid-range jumper. She's taking her game to another level this year. Both teams will improve as they're young kids off the bench get more experienced. Good early season matchup and possible preview of post-season. Good road win for Lady Pioneers.1 point

The score predictions have been lopsided the last 3 weeks, but hey we don't have much size, the Haywood radio guys were saying we looked like a jr high team and there's no way we should've been winning that game. We don't have much size but we're well coached and know how to play the game. I really believe we're in for a good game this weekend...1 point

well when you have one of the greatest players in the NFL, who has a camp in Elizabethton I think I would go too bud! I don't know whats with you all and talking about recruiting, the kids went to the middle school in elizabehton. they didn't just go to the high school. they have been in the school system. haha saying we recruiting just because we don't lose. we just train and work harder than anyone else. that's why we win. I will take MBA by 10+ points. Defense holds McCallie to 14 points, while Reed accounts for 2 TDs. Ground and pound picks up another TD at minimum and maybe a defensive score. MBA puts up 28 at the least. Freshman QB is about to have a coming out party against a talented senior QB.1 point

It will for sure be a defensive matchup. A very good offense going against a very good defense. Lots of talent on both sides of the field. Lots of weapons on the offensive side for McCallie, but MBA has proved throughout this season that they know how to shut those key pieces down. The most points they allowed all season was 24 against Briarcrest, which was prior to starting Marcel Reed at QB. While MBA has been on a roll since that game (despite the monsoon loss to Baylor which they avenged), McCallie is still probably the more complete team top-to-bottom. Don't expect this game to be high scoring at all; both teams may not get more than 24 points Thursday night. History isn't on their side for McCallie however. Since 1993, MBA is 22-2 against McCallie, with the Big Blue's wins both coming in the years they advanced to the State Title game (both were the score 34-21). This time it'll be against that same MBA team. Learning from last year, it seems like the key this year will be ball security, as well as who controls momentum and possession. Hopefully this game will live up to the hype. Prediction: Toss-up1 point

Nope, With PC's wins, especially against MBA ,Indy and great playoff teams, Giles County and Covington; they earned the right to be playing for a Championship!1 point
