Bummer. That’s the one thing that has been hampering Ensworth so far this season. Injuries. Hayden plays extremely tough and is in on just about every play. They are happy to have him there.

Anyone that was there last year will tell you that the game was closer than that score shows. We had some chances to score and did not do it. These kiddos will be resilient just like they always are. They get that from our coaches. They are all amazing. I would like to go watch these kiddos play tonight. I believe the big MC will win this time. We have had 3 weeks to get ready for this game. I know we will have some new plays that will score some this year. I do not think Coach Pruitt will run the same plays again this year. Good luck to night kiddos. Nobody wants to watch bad teams play basketball. Bad teams are simply that, bad teams. If a coach is allowing bad shooters to continually shoot bad shots, I'd venture to say that (a) the team is really bad &/or (b) there are no clearly defined roles within the team. IMO (b) is a major coaching problem. I've always believed that my worst shooters should lead the team in FG%. Have you participated (coached or watched) HS games with a shot clock? We used a shot clock in WA and when I was coaching in Hawaii we used a shot clock at our annual holiday tournament. In both instances it was well received by the fans, administrations, clock workers, refs, coaches and most important; the players.

I believe this game and LC vs Humboldt might be two of the better games in West Tn, crazy to actually be saying that but it is awesome ! I drive thru humboldt daily and there is a lot of buzz about these Vikings !

The people inside the city of Kingsport city limits have always paid county taxes that have helped support all county schools. The people inside the Kingsport city limits helped build West Ridge High School. Anyone who sent their kids to Dobyns Bennett or any school within the city limits did so by their own choice. That's always been the case and will continue to be the case moving forward. There have been kids that lived inside the city that have gone to county schools. It was their choice. You can disagree with city leaders ( I don't agree with much of what they do either) but from what I can see the county leaders are no better. Maybe West Ridge beats DB Friday night, doesn't mean squat for the future. I think North beat DB in their first year. Seems like I remember a lot of people over in Bloomingdale crowing that DB's dominance was over. They never beat DB again. ......Just sayin'

I remember SG 4 life from last year. Must be a miserable life, if all you got to do is set around and throw shade at kids. High school is definitely not pure as it once was. But it’s still the purist form of the game we got left. Think we should just enjoy it. Your Hornets are looking good this year by the way!
