  1. Always on here putting down your school and coaches….. Never anything positive or good to say….You need to be coach so you can see how difficult coaching is these days…Try to be just a little more supportive cause all I see is you being a smart #### on here to everyone and know it all and constantly bashing your coach and program…..

  2. Too many sharks! Only so much water available! 6A Ravenwood Brentwood Franklin Independence Summit 5A Nolensville Centennial Page I've said for years that Fairview (3A) is in a prime position to really become a middle TN powerhouse for a long time to come. All of these schools are sharing so many great athletes and that does not even begin to factor in the countless private schools throughout the area. Fairview is the WilCo school that doesn't have to endure the gauntlet of playing 3-4 others annually in region play. Their road to the playoffs is much more manageable which means that their kids are able to play on bigger stages in November when it matters most. They also get to play on the same $1.3M playing surface that all 8 of the "bigger" schools are able to play on every year. Franklin is not "bad" by any means. They are just trapped in a gauntlet of a region and have came up short on the scoreboard for 3 years now. They would likely have a lot of success if they were able to play against 5A and 6A teams that are outside of Williamson County.

  7. Losing is one thing , losing stupid is another. Some of those coaches would rather cut their nose off to spite their face as to admit this they cost those kids the game with their own stupidity with that blasted 3 down linemen especially at the end of the game.

  8. The Franklin principal is an absolute joke for this. Don’t know anything about the situation but this ain’t the SEC. Firing a high school coach mid season is a disgrace. Seems like the county Athletic Director who released the statement in the newspaper is pathetic too.

  14. Yeah overall they were out conditioned and outsized. Speed definitely wasn’t an issue. MJ missed a FG and two inside the 10 red zone chances. Along with a fluke 4th down run by their punter that resulted in on of their touchdown drives. Personally if the game was played again I think it would be worse. Not sure how Stewart’s Creek managed to lose. Antioch is much improved but not sure im confident enough to call them a good team.

  15. South Pitt fans (every year) : Nothing is guaranteed. We have to play extremely hard against tough competition. Against all odds and if we can pull some upsets and get past Coalfield and Gordy we may make it to Chattanooga this year. Also South Pitt fans (every year): This year's Jasper team is loaded. Best team in 2A by a wide margin. Clear cut favorite. They are a lock to waltz into Chattanooga and win it all.

  17. No HS coach should ever be fired during the season for record. No respect for the principal who did this. From everything that was said coach did not deserve to be treated in such a classless manner. And no, I don't know the coach.

  20. Fairview has gotten much better since the start of the season. Their young guys have improved and gotten much better as the season has progressed. That should only pay big dividends in the weeks and years to come. They play a football team in Independence that is very good and capable of making a deep run in the 6A state playoffs. Their 4-3 record is very misleading. Independence's only losses this season are to: Oakland (34-14): whose lone defeat was to an Indiana powerhouse Centennial (29-23 in OT): who's undefeated on the season Ravenwood (16-14): whose lone defeat came against Alcoa White House-Heritage is having a nice season under their first year coaching staff. Since the early part of the season many are projecting them as the favorites to win the region. They've already beaten both Cheatham County and Sycamore in highly contested ball games. Coach Murray and his staff should be ecstatic about the season that they've had with a young football team. The Cheatham County/Sycamore "Powder Keg Battle" is always highly competitive between northern county rivals. This year's contest between the Cubs & War Eagles carries a lot of playoff stipulations. Ashland City vs Pleasant View is always a good one to attend if you've never been to this annual battle of rivals.

  22. Let me second that thought, Stacmot. I’m glad to see you back on Coach T. You know I’m always pulling for Haywood as long as they aren’t playing my Covington team. Go Tomcats.

  23. Thanks for the info Stacmot. I really think it’s got the makings of a great football game. I’m also happy that you posted on here. Have really missed hearing from you on the T. Hope your doing well.

  26. Is the coach still at Sweetwater teaching or has he moved on somewhere else. This should be a lesson for any school that ever pulls a trick like this again.I would be ashamed to ever go to another football game again if I were some of the ones involved.

  29. I would love to see JMo’s offensive/defensive/special teams stats together as it would tell the full story on how remarkable of a season he’s having. And in a year where he’s led a team to a current undefeated record in a challenging region he deserves a lot of postseason accolade love.

  31. Not an excuse ,just the true facts. Talent trumps coaching everyday at every level of play. This coach is not saying the talent is down and probably coaching hard to help his kids win. Coaches most times will take the blame because they are loyal to the players. This young man is not the first coach to be coaching in a tough job. I respect the coaches that are coaching in what is some no win situations but they are coaching kids in a lot more than just football. I would dare say that no one in admin has seen a practice or even know if improvement is being made. You are forgetting that Williamson County is one of the toughest regions in football. I would bet that zoning has a big impact on talent at franklin.

  36. “(I’m) excited to join the traditions at Oak Ridge and work with Dr. Garfield Adams and Joe Gaddis,” Cummings said. “Oak Ridge is one of those special places in our game. The administration at Knoxville Halls has been great to me, my family and our program. Hope the feeling is that I’ve left it way better than I found it.” per https://mainstreetmediatn.com/articles/mainstreetpreps/scott-cummings-hired-as-11th-football-coach-at-oak-ridge/

  39. Greeneville does. And benefits greatly from it. Ask Swipes. They got the “success formula” from Alcoa. Everyone in Greene Co is Welcome to come on in. The Doors are always Open. The Greene Co Allstars are awfully good as a result. With a lot of “feeder” programs to “recruit” they are consistently good. Amazing for a HS with 1100 Kids to reload every year. Unfortunately they can’t match Alcoa in the “transfer portal” with less than 750 Kids. They’re kinda like Bama. They have the most talented team but they either don’t develop or just plain choke when it counts. But they have set the “Gold Standard” for “building” a Program. Which Witten at Elizabethton started using by getting a weight room and year round practices. Such a Novel Idea. I would have thought Shawn would have figured all that out on His own. But it’s all because the Devils were lifting weights and now the secret is out. Betsy needs to thank the Devils for “making them better”. Apparently it’s working awfully good considering how Greeneville has done in the Playoffs the last 5yrs or so.
