Come on man you obviously don't understand that TSSAA is not going to do that because football is their money maker! That's why come playoff time you will be spending $15 on gofan for every game you attend. The people at TSSAA do not care one bit about student athletes, coaches, or fans. They only think about what is best for them. TSSAA sucks!

Dang I hope we do cross paths at some point, we could share some stories. My childhood was extremely tough but thanks to the Grand creator, I've been very blessed and raised 2 of the finest boy's you would ever want to meet. My problems turned out to be their benefit.I've been EXTREMELY BLESSED.

Well if you look at the tournament list you will see that pretty much all weekends for tournaments are pretty much filled and to help grow the girls side in the state it’s never a good idea to try to take girls away from other tournaments and also coaches don’t like to split where their girls team goes if there is not a Jv tournament being hosted the same day.

I will say this neither team is very good.

Had 2 pick sixes against Marion week 3 but not against Bledsoe. I think we had one INT. against Bledsoe and may have dropped a few other potential ones but none returned for TDs. Bledsoe's senior running back - #22 played really well against us - had their one score on a reception in which he broke some tackles and worked his way into the end zone. That kid-22-got after the Rams all night on both sides of the ball - but Tyner has some dudes and steadily pulled away. Didn't get to running clock til late in the game and think that will help us against Meigs and in the playoffs to get a four quarter test.

I miss Harold Huggins... I miss the days when the box scores of all the games were in the paper Saturday morning. I guess I am getting old.

Another ho-hum night for Giles County RB X'Zorion Randolph versus 5A Columbia. 16 carries, 209 yards, 2 TD. Also had a 90-yard KO return for a TD. Second 200-plus yard night on the year and fifth multi-touchdown night. SEASON: 958 yards rushing, 13TD, 1,300 all-purpose and 15TD.

You always hear things like "Well no wonder ______ has a winning program, they have the $$$ to build all the nice facilities with all the latest _____ ..... " Do you guys think it takes a lot of $$$ being funneled into the school to create a consistently winning program? So when a school nobody has ever heard of comes out of nowhere to make some noise in the playoffs or even win it is that just a fluke?

First off, I would like to go ahead and eat crow... I am not surprised that Huntingdon lost, I predicted a score of 27- 21 Huntingdon, but knew that could be reversed easily.. I would like to eat crow on the fact that I thought the big hit at the end of the game was illegal.... after watching the TIK-TOK video that was posted at another angle.. it is clear that i was WRONG.. what a big time , clean, perfectly timed hit by the Martin defender. I was not one of the ones to yell at the kids, but I did scream at the ref... I wish I could go back and tell that ref how truly right he was... I did not hear the racial slur, but will not deny the fact that it could have happened. -- thoughts on the game.. This game lived up to all expectations... This could be a re-match in the 3rd round which will now be at Martin as long as they handle business as I know they will. . GREAT ADJUSTMENTS by the Martin Offense... Huntingdon blitzed 2 LBS every play... how do you hurt that?? you throw quick passes, 1 slant in the middle which ran for a TD, and 2 SCREEN passes that were CRUCIAL 3 rd down plays! Credit to Huntingdon for not bowing out and continue to grind and stick with the plan to slowly tire out the Martin defense which they did.... What a district we have.. I dont think anyone can argue that the championship this year will be returning to the district again.. whether its Huntingdon, Martin, or Huntingdon.. I hope we get a rematch... what a game... good luck to the Chargers rest of the season.. now on to Trenton!

Luckily for Greeneville we have those well healed benefactors that have help shape Greeneville's Facilities into a top notch program. Some might have played for the Greene Devil's back in the day and also have and had kids come through the program. I'm so glad the Community Supports the Sports program the way they do no matter if it's a home or away game (Oak Ridge last week was a key example with us having more fans than they did at an away game even though we are a smaller school)

The biggest thing after that pick 6 that put the Pirates up 14 - 0 was the continued forcing the pass instead of establishing a run game.

The question is "why" is Clay County (Celina) going all the way to Grungy County.

I’ve seen your team in clips online. I’ve seen Red Bank as well. Fayettevile has more athletes and size. Google them and you will see. Fayettevile has a team full of 3-4A type size and speed. That doesn’t come around often at this level. Enjoy it while you’ve got it. Just my opinion about it.

I wasn’t going to mention them, but yes. Every dollar raised for sports in Greeneville went to sports. Improvements in sport facilities was a cooperation between the school system and city hall which meant it was tax dollars or the generosity of well healed benefactors.

I can assure you that sports in HS do not pay a penny for the classroom. Having dealt extensively with overall sports budgets we worry about paying for minor sports. Some schools can’t even fund their football program properly.

Agreed. It was an ugly whippin' we took. When I saw Greeneville warming up, they had 27 kids in the lineman group, all of which looked big, strong tough, and well drilled, like they could play and even start. We started the season with about 16 big fellas total. How it got this way doesn't matter now. This is going to take some time to get right. No point in placing blame on this staff, previous staff etc. This is where we find ourselves. Thick and thin, good with the bad. Two more opportunities to get it right. Hopefully make the playoffs and end on a positive note. Stick together Cat fans.

Hville has the #1 SOS in the state just ahead of MBA. MJ is in the 60’s. If MJ played Oakland, Baylor and South Warren KY they would have at least a couple more losses. Good luck the rest of the year and next year in 6-A.

Hville is an example of that. Had to play Baylor and South Warren Ky/ Wilson Co. will not answer the phone when u call. They won’t play Beech or Hville.

I think it's the fans' fault. Fans don't do enough. They don't pay enough for tix, equipment, or travel, nor do they give enough time. Fans definitely need to sacrifice more. I think Childress and about a dozen other dudes making $200k a year apiece is justified. If anything, they are underpaid. We simply don't have it in the budget for more refs. Nor to increase the pay for those who do. The solution is to sit quietly during the games and never challenge or even mention any mistakes made by coaches or refs.

I think you are spot on. Tullahoma, if making the playoffs, would face Lexington. If they somehow managed to pull the upset over the #1 seed, I believe it would be a rematch with Marshall Co who will take out Chester Co. Long way to go though. This is a fun time of year! It's good to see the team take advantage of the back half of the schedule. These are games we expect them to win, and they are finally relatively healthy along with suspended players returning. Time to make some hay while the sun is shining!

I, admittedly, know nothing about the current team or affairs in Gallatin. I say that so I can say, I have always enjoyed the Springfield/Gallatin game and wish it were possible to renew that old rivalry
