  3. I seen this before everyone wants to be the star and can be cancer to a team. Coaches know what they are doing I’m sure. What I think maybe that’s why he is so good at corner because he is fresh and still get touches on offense. AC offense is doing great scoring points / winning.

  4. Can’t wait to hear the response to this... It’s obvious this clown don’t know what he’s talking about or he would have gave a number by now. Then again the sideline don’t wear a number. I guess if it is a coach then he’s even more butt hurt cause H2O JV went and spanked Dekalb again tonight. I’m sure there was a reason Dekalb lost again such as H2O line was holding or they ran away from a certain player or the phantom kid with 4.3 speed wasn’t on the field.

  10. Thanks for Sharing RW87 , I'm so proud to be a Maryville Rebel ! Your 6 yr old Godson is a Doll , I saw his picture ! I hope Coach Hunt stays at Maryville for the next 40 years ... and fortunately we have many more people close to the Program who get it that it's a lot more than playing a Sport ...

  11. The Rebels practiced at 6:15 this morning. Not because of the heat though. Coach Hunt invited 30 of our friends from the special education classes in Maryville City Schools out to a camp at the Skeeter. I was blessed to get to watch my 6 year old godson who has Down syndrome have the time of his life. All the kids got to wear Red Rebel jerseys. Walk through the tunnel from the locker room, while Back in Black played over the speakers. Then they ran through the M that the Cheerleaders hold. Then the coaches and football players helped them throw the football, do tackling drills and then an obstacle course to the end zone. And they got a T-shirt. His momma texted me and said I will cry when I see him in it in the morning. I will never forget this. It is truly great to be a Maryville Rebel.

  12. What’s everyone’s take on the game? OS strong point is there D. From what film I have watched they seem to swarm the ball. There run D seems to be good I’m not sure about there secondary. There O is average but they do have some players that can make some plays if given a chance. GB just came off with there best defensive game of the year with our O getting more balanced. This should be a good one come Friday night.

  18. BCB~MVP's By The Numbers: Week 5: Trousdale Co. vs. Westmoreland Match-Up History: When I hear of this match-up I feel like the two have played more than they actually have. My records show this Friday will be 20th meeting. I know for several years, the 2 schools have faced off in preseason match-ups which kept the fire burning from some heated battles in the mid 90s but a consistent scheduled game didn’t reappear until 2015. Overall I show Trousdale Co. leading the series 12-7 and winning the last 9 match-ups. Since the 2 were placed in the same Region in 2015, the Yellow Jackets have outscored the Eagles 113-13 in 4 games with 2 shutouts. Last year on the Creekbank resulted in a 37-0 victory over a very young Eagle team. For the rest of my weekly segment, you will have to listen to the Burma Road Podcast, linked below. If you haven't taken the time to check this podcast out, you are missing out. Steven and John do a great job giving Jacket insight! https://podcasts.apple.com/…/podca…/burma-road/id1477664025… https://open.spotify.com/episode/2iU4nTcopQGMcbHRdzhJ5Q…

  19. Howard will more than likely be bigger across the board than AC and more athletic. For anyone wondering if they can hold this years Tyner Team in check with all those studs they can sure hold AC in check considering that AC lost about 80% of their offense from last year to graduation. AC best chance this year will be to continue to play sound and play within the system that has been installed by their great coaching staff. The biggest concern for Howard this week is not AC its within their own heads!!! The let down factor after maybe one of the biggest wins in school history has a tendency to take its toll on you the following week as we have all seen from past big games. Howard in a close one.

  20. This kid is no cancer by any means, he is the most quiet and polite kids there is. But I thought you put the ball in your playmakers hands. The games I have seen the few times they give him the ball something special happens. Good coaches find a way to get good players the ball.

  21. Hoping for a good game Thursday night. RMS is undefeated, JMS is 2-4. Should be a great turnout for the middle schoolers. Hoping the weather cooperates.

  22. Not sure. If it's carried by radio it should show in the TFP sports section on Friday.

  23. He has been nothing but consistent since he has been there, plays lights out on defense, but he is just as if not more dynamic as an offensive player. Hopefully the coaches figure that out and use him more.

  25. Please show me in any public school boards policy were it states "Transfer can happen for Athletic reason"? It's not in Knox Co and It's not in Greeneville City or Greene Co. School Board Policy either. I can't leave something out that DOES NOT Exist. You are pot calling the Kettle Black because you have no clue about transfers or the Fact that the Kid that lives in the Karns School zone and transferred to Powell has siblings that still go to School in the Karns zone and live in the same house hold and it was for "Academic reasons" give me a break . I'm sure you knew Greeneville starting center the last 2 years transferred to South Greene this past year correct? or the fact that SG made the Quarterfinals last year in 2a? KNOW YOUR FACTS not state opinions and call them FACT. I also find it Funny that Greeneville City School System is ranked top 5 public school system in the state year after year and the county school system is usually in the 50's mark and to say it's not for Academic reason. My parents Both attended county schools growing up, but when my brother was born my parents decided that no matter what we would attend the City School System because of the education difference. I have relatives that are high up in the Greene Co System. I also am close friends to the Greene Co Director of School (Who guess what His Son attended the City School system, not even the school system he was over because of the educational difference when it comes to College readiness and resources available.) . I'll just throw this out there I'm sure my Parents knew when I was 5 that I would end up being a starter on the Football and Baseball team at Greeneville High School for 3 straight years or that my brother would be the starting PG for a team that went to state in basketball when he was 5 also when they decided to enroll us at Eastview Elementary School back in the early 90's. Once again do your research and know your facts because you my friend are CLUELESS

  26. Only gonna say the person in 2A that won it last year earned it in my opinion. And he hardly got to play any ball past halftime most games last year. In the games he got to play 4 quarters this year he has put up video game #s already. I kinda feel that your saying maybe our qb won it because someone is biased that votes? I really dont know how it works. I will say if you ever seen our qb play when he has to really had to earn it that game youd be buying a Jersey of his after the game.

  29. You keep on saying Facts when you have no clue how Greeneville City School Board is Ran. There is no policy on file that has approved transfer for Athletic reason in any Policy so keep digging. A Starting QB since his Freshman Year at Greeneville (Top 3 all time in passing yards in school history) got into a fight his Senior Year and since he lived in the County and Zoned for County Schools the City School System revoked his tuition (A kid that attended city schools since kindergarten ) . That same family bought a house in the City Limits and lived there so their son could still go to the city school since his tuition was revoked so try to find some other excuse and please learn what is classified as open zoning because you sir have no clue

  30. Yeah in no shape or form do I believe their freshman QB is as good as Brentwood's much more experienced QB, in fact I believe he's better than he showed last Friday, but Clarksville has size and good athletes, having said that they lose 42-7 this week.....

  31. I like to use it as a gauge to see if people are informed or not. I also like to try and figure who the homer sportswriters are (Fritz). In 6A I'd take the top four vs the field of 45.

  32. This will be a tough outing for sure for the Chargers. Red Bank has started slow this year, so hope is the boys can hang on to the ball and use clock to give an opportunity to sneak one out.

  33. I wonder if he knows its extremely hard for even NFL players to have 4.3 speed. If you run a 4.3 in high school, Nick saban is going to be at your front door lol. and if he is talking about the player I think he is that kid definitely doesn't run with 4.3 speed. no offense to the kid but he plays d line and a lineman running a 4.3 is dang near impossible.

  34. 100 percent correct. Those two teams were the worst Baylor has had in a while and those were two of the best teams ND has had. One going to a state championship and Baylor pulled starters out 3rd quarter both times. Yet Booger wants to sit and bash them.

  36. Let's go big mouth name the player...coach? Oh you have yet to name the best player on defense from the other night that Watertown ran away from. What blows my mind is Watertown ran left, right, inside and out. So the best defensive player had to be the sideline. You obviously do not have the gumption or BALLS to say who was the best player(I need a number). The only player that looked like they could play just a little was #9 and that is just because he passed the eye test. I also know why you are not a scout anymore....you absolutely SUCK at scouting. Like someone said I bet you are a coach that is just butt hurt H2O smacked y'all again.

  37. Talent just isn’t there as it has been! Mix that in with losing two of our best returning lineman before the season started and we just aren’t very good this year! Been fortunate to avoid any injuries this season so far! Hope to not have any this week! Kids are playing as hard as they can with a lot of heart but this is the weakest team we’ve had since 06! Nothing wrong with the coaching, if they can’t execute consistently you’re gonna have a tough season! Inexperience & youth is our biggest problem! We’ve got a great middle school group coming up with some very good skill guys in it! That’s about it in a nutshell! I support our guys and coaches 100 percent whether it’s a 10-0 or 0-10 season! The kids may not not win but they won’t lay down and quit! I have to work til midnight Friday but I will pull up the link and watch what I can of it! Go Cardinals!!

  39. I appreciate us still not making top 10. Shows the disrespect IMO. Hillsboro was a #4 team in 5A. That was until Gallatin beat them 49-14.

  40. I have a friend that is close to the Milan program and I came over and watched this past Friday night as they beat Lexington. 21 - 15. Milan won that game in spite of their head coach. He is severely lacking in football basics. The man needs a coaching 101 clinic. He accepts penalties when he should decline and vice versa. His clock management is terrible. I don't know if he lacks basic arithmetic skills or is just unaware, but there is a problem. At the end of Friday's game with possession of the ball and lexington out of timeouts and 1:24 left on the clock he decided to put the quaterback in the shotgun and run a qb keeper right up the middle. In this situation there are about 10 or more things that can go wrong and only one good outcome. Why would you take a chance when you can snap, kneel and run the clock out? Luckily on 2nd down he came to his senses and they kneeled the ball out and took the win. The Milan team has a lot of talented kids. Saw some really good things from #'s 1, 9, 50, 54. Great looking athletic kids. #7 their kicker has a great foot and any school in the state would be lucky to have him. I hate it for the kids that their coach is inept but wish the team luck all the same.

  42. Not surprised that SD lost. They have not played a quality team like AC all season. Even if there starting QB played for SD, I still don't think it would of made a difference. AC defense did a good job against the run all game (witch is SD strong suit)

  43. Proud of the improvement these boys have made since Week 1... I expect this game to be a physical game #1 We gotta come out and play 4qtrs of Greenback Football. If we let OZ stick around we're in for a battle!!! #2 Protect the QB!!!!!!! #3 Fix the little mistakes (dropped passes, dumb penalties) Thats really all i can think of right now, y'all have a good week and see ya Friday night!

  44. Catholic kids are not automatic locks for FR like they used to be. They have to do a better job of recruiting to survive in that division.

  45. If there was a real study done of 6A/old5A vs DIIAAA , 6AAA/old 5A would be less than 30% winning against the to DII division. Most top 6A/ old5A teams won't even attempt to schedule a top DII football team. I say old 5A because there has not been a 6A for long enough. You showed some random examples of public defeating/competing against top DII teams. I could cherry pick some of that also. Doesn't mean crap. It's all IFL and l like my opinion. If someone wants to do a head to head comparison of top 6A/5A vs DIIAAA/oldDIIAA, (when it was the top private division) go ahead. Coach T goes back to 2000 I think. And let's count wins/losses. Close or almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.
