Honestly would not surprise me to see you move back up if it is a good beatdown lol. I think if we win our next couple games, and then keyvont returns and if we can beat whitwell which is top 5 in 1A then maybe just maybe we will get in top 10 lol. Like I said tho our kids love not being ranked, using the tag #Make'mBelieve.

Got some great friends on both sides of this battle... but there is nothing better to me than watching the Indians lose. Certainly no hard feelings against the great group of men dressing out... heck I even coached a few of them when they were young fellars... but I will always root against the Tribe when that annoying war-hoop starts! Do hope it is a safe trip down to God's country and I do hope injuries stay scarce for all involved. You have a friend? Now to seriously answer.... Outside region would be Eagleville. They are slightly above average 2A this year. A bit down from most seasons. They beat us regular season last year. in region Moore Co and Mt Pleasant. Last year Fayetteville in region but they are down this year. Our region is a bit down this year. Last year was very competitive with Mt. Pleasant missing playoffs with a 7-3 record.

Blackman is one of the best tackling teams I have seen in a few seasons....and everyone knows about all the offensive weapons. I think everyone is underestimating that Blackman D. Oakland will have to pass some effectively if they are going to win. I like Blackman in this one 24-21!!

It's never easy for a parent to watch those last games,matches or whatever the sport.When you get right down to it .If our kids are happy and learn how to become men and women who can go out and provide for themselves and maybe a family of their own some day, that's what it's all about.However for tonight, it's about who will walk away the winner of a football game.

Who gives a darn bout past losses now. Those losses don’t effect anything. You still have to beat same teams in playoffs.

I've got a true and similar story with DB vs Alcoa in wrestling.My son apparently had already torn his knee up and was wrestling in a weekend tournament.The match against the Alcoa heavyweight was a tough one on top of it.It was anyone's match late and the Alcoa wrestler got a nose bleed.There was a couple of delays but the match continued.My son's coach told him to cross the Alcoa wrestler's nose and make him bleed.My son wouldn't do it and the match went until the end . Fortunately my son still won on points but when I ask why he wouldn't do what his coach wanted,his response was priceless.He said he didn't want a cheap victory and the other wrestler deserved a fair chance .That was one of my son's last matches and decided after surgery to just get his education .I think my son got it right when it comes to what sports was meant to be used for.Best of luck to both the DB and Alcoa players tonight and hopefully an injury free game.

I'm not an East Nashville fan. I follow Maplewood. But even so, I rarely travel for more than an hour from my home to see a game. In fact, I rarely travel more than an hour to see any high school game. Back when the championship games were played in Nashville, and then later Murfreesboro, I would often go and watch games as a casual observer. Now that that the games are in Cookeville I will only travel that far if I have a particular interest in a team; even more so now that I can watch the games online.

I always respect your opinion swarm. Most of my smack talk toward CA is just plain smack talk to shake the tree per se! I told the riverside folks Friday night that the match between us sounds like its going to be a good one. Curious to see how they play Camden this week. If you guys actually seen what we was up against this past Friday you all would understand. I actually gained more respect for my own team in that loss. We had our chances to win. But like you say swarm we will have to keep getting better on the defense side of the ball for sure! Nothing but respect coming from this guy to all the teams out there.

It was a surprise to a lot of us lol. Imo it was a coaching/play calling issue. CA was prepared and focused on us. I'm sure we'll be more prepared this year

I was saying please dont go there because all the other guys are going to say that we didnt play anybody worth a hoot. I would and will say the same! Im not here to be against you man. Same team! We as waverly fans can see how we are getting better its just hard for these other guys to see it when they see the high scores.

This is purely subjective, and for the record, I understand both sides of the argument...how many 2A teams out there would pick up a win against the three losses that Waverly has? All three games weren't decided until the end, and whether the scores were 21-20 or 77-74, the Tigers were maybe one snap from tying or winning. I don't think that they are the favorites, but to dismiss them this early because of their record is insane, given the level of competition that they've faced.
