Oh god please bro don’t do that. I’m a Westview fan too let’s just continue to get better! We have more tough games coming and a strong possibility we will have to play UC or Huntingdon again. Good news it’ll be in Martin if we do. Let’s be happy for a win against a worthy opponent get healthy and try to get back to Chattanooga cause I wanna go again.3 points

Those dogging Scott at this point are really misguided. If you want to point fingers, point them at those in charge before he got there. They allowed the culture to get completely disombobulated. It's not going to be fixed overnight.3 points

Take me to any small town in Tennessee like Clinton and within an hour I can tell you who runs the show and who Mr. Finger in the pie is. If more were exposed like rats we would be so much better off.3 points

Don’t make excuses for people who act like idiots. Yelling and cussing at high schools kids by adults is nothing to be proud of2 points

Love hearing rivalry games don't matter when you guys get stomped. Especially against teams you guys try and steal players off of lol.2 points

Good win for Gordonsville regardless of how bad TC is this year. Week 10 winner has leg up in playoffs as the loser of that game and South Pitt will have to 2 back to back tough games. Could this be the year Clay County finally breaks through? Appears they are the favorite heading into Gville match up. I’m just keeping it real2 points

Yeah, I’m sure it didn’t help the player that was down to hear the “support” from his own crowd. You could clearly hear some of them yelling at #17 specifically. Funny thing is it seems to be one guy that yells then others just repeat, pretty sure that guy has had a kid or step kid playing for Huntingdon for the last 20 years and he’s always the loudest and most obnoxious person in the stands, regardless of the sport.2 points

A TD there along with a 2 point conversion & we're looking at an 8-7 deficit. Different game altogether. I've seen teams get demoralized after a commanding 1st half but going into the locker room behind. Kudos to our coaches. Pirates looked as though they had a very good week of film study defensively & were prepared. Edit: Good luck to Austin East. From the streaming view yall have a very nice place to play. Wish I could have made the trip & enjoyed the view from the inside.2 points

Heavenly Father, we raise this young man up to you that you might take hold of his injured body and begin your healing , Lord. We know there are many doctors , but only one true healer. Lord, I ask not in my name but in the mighty name of Jesus, through his blood, through his atonement, his love, mercy and grace, I is because of him I can kneel before you and ask in his Holy name and because I know my God can do all things, I can proclaim it . Warriors come to town for a BIG Region matchup with the playoffs on the line. Both teams need a win here to secure a playoff spot. Idk enough about Mcewen other than scores so I’m not in a position to even put a prediction out there. Hopefully both teams stay healthy. Good luck to both teams but GBR!!!1 point

I haven’t seen smith county this year. You better stop #7 for Macon because he can take it to the house anytime he touches the ball. Macon is not real big of front and if smith is as big as you say our they will probably be able to run the ball. This game should be a good one.1 point

According to the Mustang football program the only time in the last 15 encounters that Peabody won was 2014 in the playoffs. That was the Malone team. Great player he was.1 point

Good luck to Springfield the rest of the way. On to next week. We both have region rivals next week and I can’t wait to see those threads!1 point

You guys have posters who have bragged about cussing your own players on the sideline on this forum. I can only imagine what was being said to the opposing team.1 point

Neither one of these cats worth a crap, its not them calling the shots anyway, BIG money dictates this junk and big money takes care of big money. I'm afraid they've decided to break we the people. Its a well laid plan and both sides are in on it, they just act like enemy's ,professional wrestling at its best. Divide and conquer.1 point

If we had a decent offensive line we could compete for a state championship, but unfortunately we don't. Glad we have the athletes we do because if not we'd be in serious trouble. I do think with some hard work that we have some young, big guy's coming up who are 9th and 10th graders that could be a good line on both sides of the ball next year. Just my thinking, I'd probably keep a back or two in to throw a block if I played another team like AE who was in our backfield all night. You can line up 4-5 wide but if QB is running for his life it doesn't matter how many you have out there.1 point

Mustangs played about as good as they can play last night. Really proud of our kids for giving that kind of effort. Westview really spread us out gashed us. Those tall athletic wideouts really gave our db's problems going up over them. We were in good position on most plays but couldn't make the plays. Westview did a good job taking care of the ball which they had to do. All this and the clock beat us. Mustangs had the Charger defensive softened up to much on the last Huntingdon drive. If we could have burnt a little more clock the outcome could might have been different. Anyway congrats to the Chargers, you got our best and came out on top. Hopefully we get a rematch. What a great game this was to watch.1 point

I talked to a parent of one of the HVA players. No update on the hurt player. Continued prayers1 point

I actually agree with you partially. Line play was the difference and I agree that Quillen is a young star at running back. BUT...if Dozier was running behind the Greenville line, I think you would say Dozier was better...but I'd take Quillen at running back any day. Some of the OR guys do run their mouths too much so we agree again.1 point

“Taunting” or celebrating non excessively a big hit in a big game?? Let the kids play football!! Just butt hurt y’all weren’t on winning side I would get kicked off coacht for repeating it. Just ask some of your players. They heard it too1 point

And good luck against Union City because I predict at least 2 touchdown victory by UC. If the stangs couldn’t stop our run game, then no chance they are able to stop theirs1 point

There is a whole thread on them somewhere. They are a 2A semifinal team playing JV squads. If Peabody, City, McKenzie, and any other decent 1A squad had that schedule the result would be the same.1 point

Seems like there’s quite a few just wanting to kick someone while they’re down to me … the best thing about tonight for Oak ridge I thought was the interview with Coach Cummings after the game … he was absolutely tore to pieces over it , he didn’t try to downplay nothing, he let the whole world know that this wasn’t good enough. He seems to me like he’s still got a lot of fight left in him and he showed for a lot of years at West that he could field a team with a lot of Heart and Fight , and I think right now that’s exactly what Oak Ridge needs1 point

It’s gotten past embarrassing. Shut up. If coach T himself addresses it then cmon. U have already showed u r an idiot. God help you1 point

I’m not ready for that yet, at all. The guy inherited a 3-8 team, and is implementing a whole new philosophical approach, not to mention a culture change. It’s gonna take more than one or two years before I even come close to making that kind of call.1 point

no excuses. Beech was better. I think we keep it closer with #14 and #7 in the game. Devon going down seem to take the wind out of our sails. Beech still would win1 point

Great job by the offense to step up on a night that the defense couldn't find a rhythm.1 point

Powell leads 44-29 early in the 4th. A few observations tonight: CC QB is an accurate passer, when he has time to throw. Has some good WRs too. CC overall team speed is dwarfed by the Panthers. Powell continues to be fooled by the onside kick. And teams keep taking advantage every single week. Still wondering when Lowe will adjust. It took almost 3 full quarters before the Panther defense decided to stop playing straight man coverage in the secondary. Powell has yet to get out of their own way this entire season. Still too many turnovers, too many mistakes in short yardage situations, and way too many bad penalties. I just don't see this team beating someone as complete as West. They just aren't as cohesive this season, and it seems like Lowe has been outcoached a lot this year. I know they've had to navigate a lot of injuries, but I'm just amazed at the fundamental things they continue to struggle with in mid-October.1 point

Lol I can be a decent guy, you’d have to think in the 8 years or so I’ve been a member I’d eventually grow up. Lol1 point

I don't know. Most people I know around here have a favorable opinion of those two. I'd say DB is probably the most hated because they're one of the biggest schools in the state, mostly beat up smaller/weaker schools, and never do anything in the playoffs.1 point

I don’t care about nor do I even know him personally. If his feelings would have gotten hurt that’s his problem. Maybe he should recruit a little quieter and stop talking about it to everyone.1 point

I mean this is a metro post. A lot of parents are proud of their kids and actually this year I want to say it was 7 out of 13. Heck WC even had about 25 freshman.1 point

I remember when this story would be good for an article, and maybe a picture in the Tennessean. There are very few good teams that don't field a freshman team.1 point

If a kid enters a school as a 9th grader, I don’t think anyone should care. If a kid picks up and moves into a zone, I don’t think anyone should care.1 point

I figure that you're right, but this isn't just another factory we're talking about, they call it blue oval city for a reason...with the workforce projected (and "support" businesses that will spring up) a significant increase in the entire general area's population will happen, and we're talking about family demographics that will include school aged children. I think that even "fringe" areas will see some increase in student population, and most of it will occur in rural areas. Let's be frank...families with no ties moving in will avoid Memphis and its surrounding area in favor of quieter and safer neighborhoods with better schools.1 point

Sanders is from SH, Symborski is from MidTN, Fowler's were at Blackman for years, Maddox is from GA and i think their 170 transferred in this year too.. but yeah, Cleveland made.1 point

All I can is our local middle school wins 2 or 3 games a year and our high school team does win with the same kids that played at the middle school. Granted our middle school plays schools with much bigger enrollments. I just don't put a lot of stock in middle school being the biggest indicator on how the high school does. It's about coaching and schemes and of course the Jimmy's and Joe's.1 point
