Yes we did. The freshman is cold as ice. Kid went 12/19 for 104. Those numbers won’t jump off the page, but against a defense as good as Brentwood, you couldn’t ask him to be more calm, cool, and efficient. The defense is a force. I’m not sure I would trade our secondary for any in the state. That said, I’m still high off a big win, but I’m proud of these guys. That’s not the same team that went to Brownsville 3 weeks ago.

Gonna be a good one, but one thing to remember, this game is only a measuring stick for both teams to determine where they are after week 4. No Region Championship on the line, no playoff implications. So let's hope for a clean, no injury game for both teams. If it ends 7-3 or 35-0, remember just a measuring stick to help you get better. After that, mark everything around you that you love and care for! The house, barn, the crops, tress and the flowers. Gather up the farm animals and paint them also! Paint everything! The Oak Ridge Wildcats host the Farragut Admirals. Tailgating with food and drinks at Quarterback Club Park bedide the Walk of Champions from 5-7PM. Players arrive at 6 PM. RWR!

North had the injury big to hit them last season. They started out 5-0 & in that 5th game 7 starters went down to injuries. 5 of them were season ending injuries. North went on to lose their last 5 games of the season but made the playoffs only to get stomped in the first round. I've seen North play (they're my alma mater, 1989 graduate) & they are still the same 'ol smashmouth run it down your throat football team. However, Coach Patrick has added some gadgets to the offense that's throwing defenses off. They are running more off tackle plays & a few end arounds to the WR's as well. They still only pass 3-4 times per game even though they have 2 speedsters @ WR in Hill & Roberts. North's defense is unpredictable though. They stopped Johnson County 2 weeks ago but against a Cosby team gave up almost 400 yards of offense & 31 points. I expect Chuckey-Doak to gain some yards & put up some points but North should outscore them. This is North's 1st home game of the season after playing the 1st 3 games of the season on the road. Next week though will be North's biggest game of the season to date when they take on South Greene in a bigtime conference matchup. I sure hope the players aren't looking past the Black Knights to the South Greene game. Chuckey-Doak is good enough to beat the Raiders for sure. Having said that, I think North wins this game by 12+ points. I'm thinking something like 32-20 or 36-22.

Alcoa got manhandled up front last night and they didn't have a prayer offensively. That's by far and away the most I've seen them get shoved around by an opposing team since I've been watching their football games dating back to 2004. if Maryville had done a couple of things differently that game could have easily been 38-3 instead of 17-3.

I like to make fun of Rankin always saying about 6 days before this game "Well, you know, we're only a 3A school, it's hard to compete with a 6A school" always building those excuses well before the game starts. However, it was ABSOLUTELY apparent during the last half of the 3rd and entire 4th quarter that Maryville just wore down the Alcoa team (many kids playing both ways). Big fight in Alcoa, they'll win the state easy. Good game to watch. Maryville tried to give it away!

region 1 2a is strong just think Hampton might be the 4th seed happy valley 3 Sullivan north 2 and south green #1 that's kind of what it looks like so far but really 1-3 have a shot @ being #1

Mt Pleasant will have trouble with Fayettevilles defense, they are where they are supposed to be all the time. Very disciplined. Fayetteville will not have as many big against Mt Pleasant they will nulify the speed factor. The winner of this game will be the team that can sustain drives and turn them into points. Fayetteville's kicker might be the difference.

Sounds like he doesn't adhere to his pre-game statement issued by the TSSAA concerning "good sportsmanship''. It's ok to cheer for your home team but not where it interferes with the opponents plays.

The game was good. Free hot dogs and waters for anyone entering was a nice touch. Cannon Counity quarterback was hard to deal with until late. SC freshman QB was very efficient and actually could have been better if not for a drop or two. SC established the run early and continued rest of game. The “extras” were unnecessary.
