One of the things hurting football today is the fact that few of the children today want to work that hard for ANYTHING. Think about it. We as parents have spoiled the s.....ah.....tuff out of them. Today they are given cars, $1,000.00 phones, expensive clothes (even if they look worn out) and just about anything else you can think of. Some of us still remember having to bail hay in the summer for $.03-05 a bail. NOT ROLLS, 60 pound bails! I know I quit that when I found out I could make $100.00 a night driving a tanker hauling 'shine'. Even if they are working at MacDonald's they are making more a night than most kids did in my youth did in a WEEK! Looking forward to y'alls year in 2020. Heck, I am just looking forward to 2020. There are 16 out of 36 of these guys still on the roster. The key to next year is going to be accountability in the off season weight training program. First, attendance has to mandatory. Second, there has to be coaches running the workouts, making sure each player has a program to follow, making sure that guys are working hard and progressing, not just showing up hanging around for 45 minutes and then hitting the door. Take Murvil for example. They workout early in the morning all summer and during the season. If their guys miss more than 4 workouts, they are fired. lol. They are welcome to try again next year. There has to be that "all in" level of commitment from all involved. We don't have that right now.3 points

That's a fact. Looked like a garbage truck had turned over around the bleachers.3 points

Now for the good about Lake County- Those kids have my respect. Tubbs for his size is one of the hardest runners I’ve ever seen. He runs with bad intentions. Snyder is a beast with the ball in his hand as well. Their coaching staff is very good at X’s and O’s. They are a hard nosed bunch. Little Big Puckett is a dominant lineman. Little little Puckett is a great player on defense. He is a much better defensive player than I gave him credit for. When it’s all said and done I sincerely hope Lake County wins that gold ball.2 points

im certainly no english teacher but i think what he may have meant to say was " Save FOR approx 3 games per year"....ive used "Save" many times in replacement of the word "except"...which if he had said it that way...." except for approx 3 games per year " might have made more sense to anyone who might have not quite understood what he meant....ALL THAT SAID......i would like to wish every fanbase on coacht a very merry christmas, save for approx. 3 fanbases and i hope those 3 get coal in their stockings this year..2 points

do some stats GB scored 577 had 189 scored on them. LC scored 692 had 182 scored on them. Reg, season LC opponents 53 wins 60 losses. GB opponents 57 wins 31 losses. You know what this means nothing.2 points

The game with Elizabethton will decide conference. Like always the rest of the teams are awful. I have no clue about Anderson County next year but the other teams in district 2 were weak this season. I am really going out on a limb2 points

Nolensville had 3 second half first downs, 1 via a 15 yd penalty. Their longest play from scrimmage in the second half was 15 yards. That was the pass play from the 1 after 3 false starts. They had 79 yards of total offense, 221 for the game. The Knights didn't cross midfield in the second half. They had 48 yards on 9 penalties in the second half.2 points

I can Tell you for fact he will bring discipline. Here is a small observance. Over the last 3 years Carl would take his whole team to college camps. 1 was to get exposure for his kids. 2 to let the kids see there is a whole lot of talent out there besides just them and that it was going to take more work. What he would do is have that team act as a team at the camps plus the trips and camps gave him a chance to have the guys bond and to trust him. It was always a sight when you would see him pull up with his guys and they file off the bus. It turned people’s heads. Plus on a personal note he always made it a point to seek my son out and talk and encourage him at every camp. That’s just the kind of man he is. I am Telling you right now if the community gets on board he will transform Milan football and more important transform them into men. I am So excited for Carl and excited to see Milan football.2 points

Haha, I know WW, not the biggest Farragut fan myself. I can remember us and them having some really good battles in the late 80s early 90s in basketball though. They had some quality teams back then. Thanks a lot buddy, I hope you and yours have a great holiday season as well.1 point

Belcher's going to hurt a lot of upperclassmen's feelings this year. Freshman or not, he's a tough out for any kid in his weight class this season.1 point

Not going to discuss content or what was meant but I owe you an apology.1 point

That freshman team had great chemistry, but was destined to be broken up when players who didnt want to ride the bench as sophomores and juniors sat out. We tend to let some play JV, while others stand on the sideline through varsity games, but very few if any get on the varsity field. As in the past season, we may see some players return who were not on the team. I think it's funny that a Freshman team has "ZERO" value when Varsity is discussed...but a middle school team can have incredible value when discussing Varsity play. Bad logic.1 point

I was going to comeback with something witty but the space between your sentence and exclamation point made me forget. Btw, I notice you normally put 3 exclamation points behind every sentence (after you space). In referencing me you only used one. I'll take that as you being racist. Sounds about right...1 point

You guys are too young. Bradford and Gleason combined to dominate the 90's with great teams that would at least (in my opinion) be right there with any teams mentioned. Bill Haney was considered a guru of high school ball, and he commented on air that Bradford was by far the best team at Murfreesboro one season. I'd have to take their early/mid 90's teams over any I've seen since.1 point

Better be worlds better! Alcoa scored 42 points in the regular season and 56 points in the playoff's on AE. And, that's with the JV and freshman teams playing in the both second halves. Plus, Alcoa will NOT give up more than 14 points in this Championship game.1 point

Willie, I have been serving since 1970. Before that I was a service brat from birth. In all that time Trump is the first POTUS I have seen actually get behind the serving line and dish out food to the troops in a WAR zone. As to others, I KNOW Hitlery from running Al Gore's security detail the 8 years he was in office. It will be a cold day in hades before I would vote for her or any others like her. Or any like her in the other party. I consider myself an Independent. Like I told Al to his face, my oath was to the Constitution and NOT a pair of redneck politicians! That little statement cost me both my full bird and my star per the phone call I got from the AG.1 point
