Excellent post. After seeing Moore County and Mt. Pleasant scrimmage I thought Moore County was much better. It will be a shock if MP scores on the bulldog starting defense.

The coach that 1st put his hands on the other coach should be suspended for the rest of the season. The coach that reacted to being pushed should have no consequences at all. If a grown man puts his hands on you, I don't care mud stomp him. I don't have a dog in this fight. But that was ridiculous. If a man pushes you, what are you supposed to do? back up and say please do it again? You have a right to defend yourself and you shouldn't get in trouble for doing so. AC comes out of this incident looking very bad

I have to agree with you. That SP team wasn’t nearly as talented as that Marion County team. They came in averaging about 50 ppg and left with a loss. That game might have been one of Coach Grider’s biggest upsets ever.

As an unbiased observer, it does appear that McKamey got the short end of the stick in this one. AC starts the fight and McKamey gets suspended? Doesn't seem quite right to me.

Saw Cornersville in person. MP on film ... Also seen Greenback and Whitwell in person. I honestly think Cornersville is better then both. Their line play on both sides of the ball is top notch!

Red ... this is something that the TSSAA has wrestled with since there has been a TSSAA. If you divide the state equally per the geoghraphy of the state, then you have what we have now. There is a complaint that the system is skewed to the west. Actually, it is skewed to the Middle of the state. The west has Memphis and it's nine schools. Then the East has it's number. The majority of the schools are in the middle of the state. There is a middle West and a middle East. I agree ... there is no easy answer to this.

The problem is, where is the East West dividing line? Do you seed 1-32 and then cut it in half geographically? I hated the Z-Plan because of the wildcards, and we are complaining about polls in another thread. And seeding invites bias. I didn't have all the kinks worked out when I posted this. There isn't an easy answer. I am in favor of constriction to 5 classes.

Summertown played a tough Forrest team to a 7-0 final last week.They are not to be taken lightly. Like you said, if the effort mirrors the effort at Camden, it could be a tight game. If the effort mirrors parts of the Eagleville game, the Panthers win going away.

I think we all can agree that Friday nights are a passion to us all. During the week my gut burns for Friday night to get here. I'd rather watch a high school or college game any day than a NFL game. I would agree. Talented group of Juniors but need better line play and team play to compete against UHS and York , but could still beat Westmoreland even on a off year.
