This should be a good one, both teams lost a lot from last year due to graduation, but seem to have just reloaded, really not sure who to pick but am betting on it being another good game going down to the last few minutes.....

Your comment about it being a compliment when teams get excited in scrimmages/jamborees against good teams has some validity. Sorry that Alcoa dad was rude to you. WB plays Alcoa in other sports so the "3a" argument doesnt hold water. In addition, WB has scheduled a FB team 130 miles away with a 3A enrollment ( they play up to 4a) . They have shot the defense for their own argument down.

If Huntingdon had of beat Cornersville the last 2 years doesn't mean they would have beat LC. That is something we will never know. I don't know for a fact Huntingdon would have beat Freedom Prep last year and neither do you. Huntingdon has been the favorite the last 2 years and have failed. Maybe this year they will live up to the hype. Maybe both LC and Huntingdon will make it this year. Right now LC is worried about UC. Maybe Huntingdon might want to worry about their opponent. Lot of football to be played before the playoffs and anything can happen.

Next Friday night is round 3 of HC/Haywood! The last two games these teams have played against one another has been great close games with last season being a TD for HC in the closing seconds of the game to secure the win! 2 years ago Haywood beat HC 14-12, last year HC beat Haywood 29-26! Giving HC the edge 41-40 the last 2 years combined! Expect more of the same from these two great football teams! Haywood is the 4A runner up from last season and HC is the 5A runner up from last season! Should be a wail of a game! What are your thoughts? A new season is upon us and as you all know, ITS FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE!!!!!!!!!!

Wow single handily got them to the semifinals, Joe was a great player not taking anything away from him but that team was good as a whole and had a really good defense, you can’t give any 1 kid all the credit.

Scrimmaged CR, McCallie, BA as well and had no problem. I think we'll be just fine. When MJ schedules an elite team like Maryville then you might have a leg to stand on

Hope so. Seems like it’s been tabled for 3-4 years. What’s crazy is it would save us money in the long run. People don’t realize how much it costs on a year to year basis to keep a grass field up to standard.

Playing up is the way to go. Thats why cookeville is bounced early every year. They play down all their non region games to fluff their record. May come watch this one being on a saturday.

These two top notch coaches and their staffs know each other and their programs very well. Let the annual chess match begin. Not one for predicting, other than to say I feel like it will come down to the wire one way or the other. I expect a game very similar to the ones between Germantown and HC the past two years. If you love high school football, this is must see. I respect PatriotsNations' opinion as he is always spot on. I think he would agree that freshman qb is going to get a baptism by fire. On the other side, Haywood is also talented but inexperienced. Turnovers will be the difference. PS - I think this would be an even greater game in say Week 6.

Metro began slipping when they got away from neighborhood schools. It's been mentioned repeatedly. They also began cliff diving when they started ignoring teachers and trained educators and instead listened more to those that do not have educational backgrounds. They also put people in high ranking positions thst were not qualified for those positions. A lot of former metro students have moved to surrounding counties to raise their own kids. Look at the growth of Williamson, Rutherford, Wilson, and Sumner counties. Those systems are now what metro was at one time.

WC had a couple of 3-7 seasons but I expect their very best on Friday. I saw were Trey Aric is/was their OC....former assistant coach in Springfield. Glad the Wilson boys have made SHS football fun again! Go Jackets!

I went to the jamboree at East on Friday. Coach pulled the starters pretty quick. I wasn’t able to see much. We were pretty vanilla with everything on the offensive side. Our D should be strong early on. We are quick to the ball on the run. I am ready for another deep playoff run. I am hoping you nailed that score. I am thinking we have lower scoring games this year

I’m pretty sure manofmilllions is just a sour sgc fan. He should take some those millions and invest in the sgc bleachers especially the visitor side. They are so low you can’t even see the field.
