There are a good number of terrific coaching staffs in high school football in this area, but it's my opinion that none is better than the current staff at West. Just solid from the top down.

IMO it's a shame when the last place team in region 2 beats the brakes off of every region 3 team they play and probably would have won that region or at worst finished 2nd but they are sitting home while those scrubs are going to the playoffs

.....west tn does not know what a real defense looks like. Teams like Ravenwood, Oakland, and even Alcoa will be a totally different animal. Especially seeing it live at a championship game on the road.

Heritage is capable of playing like this all the time and lost 2 they should have won. For a program that hasn't had but 2 other teams reach the .500 mark in 36 years you still have to be very happy in the direction the program is going. I watched last night and they played lights out.

Heritage 3-0 against region 3... 0-4 against there region. I know they are hoping for to get lucky with there region placement in 4a next year.

Some did pick the Pirates to be third. Whitwell and C-Prep were picked by many to be the top two. And let's face it, the Pirate team we saw in week one was a 3rd place team at best. The job that the staff has done, and the way the boys have responded has been amazing.

Loretto has made some great progress in the last couple of seasons, but they ain't ready for this.
