Popped it back in place. Doctor said there’s no ligament damage. He’s going to be fine. It looked much more graphic than what it wound up being honestly. He’s only a junior so since there is no ligament damage he will be able to play his senior season. That is great news.

We tried to explain it to folks all year and nobody would listen but hey what do we know? 15 and 0 and a third gold ball. Not bad for a small county in Northwest Tennessee. The good thing is the ride isn't over. Coach Puckett and his staff did a great job with those kids. Simply amazing. The whole team played great but I would like to give a shout out to Malachi #3. He did a heck of a job that went unseen by several. He doesn't get the recognition some do but man did he play a heck of a defensive game today. I will not show up in the box score but he held his own with the Willis kid. Heck the whole defense was lights out. Great job guys bringing the gold ball back to Lake County and pulling a whole community together.

Dude I really hope you are not referring to LC? Who in their right mind would move to the 11th poorest county in the NATION...to win football? Yea not here! As I stated we had 1 in Dyersburg 1 in Obion Co and 1 at Dyer co that could have really helped LC. our gain to loss ratio in the past 15 years is 1 to 50! Thompson Masons folks bought a house out by the lake because they liked the territory! Burkett I will remind you both his parents are LC alum and recently separated and both moved back to LC! I’m not even gonna argue we were LOADED before they added though! Ain’t nobody moving to LC to win football games

Very happy to get the win tonight against a great program like Westview. Prayers to Callins and also the the girls from South Side and Crockett County.for healing. Coach Wilkins and GC never cease to amaze me on how well they play in big games. I knew the longer GC hung around the tougher they would be. Very obvious Westview is trying g to figure things out a little. They will get it figured out.

Well she must touch the ball a lot and with her absence, they were more out of sync than I am accustomed to seeing. Yancey didn't look comfortable with the "extra" ball handling to me. To me, she's more of a slasher and driver.

Greenfield plays very physical and if they had had the crew we had at Dresden Tuesday Night there would have been more fouls on them. Loretto is a nightmare matchup for everyone with their length and the way they play. Loretto's match up zone caused major problems for Greenfield as Darby and Chloe and MP struggled from the outside. Greenfield played better in crunch time and Loretto didn't handle the press as good as it takes to beat them. They are the two best teams in A right now. Greenfield 1 and Loretto 2. Got to give Greenfield credit for who they have beat. Congrats on a great game!!! Fun game to watch!!

I think after seeing these comments it’s time for me to chime in. First off, let me say I have the upmost respect for all the middle to west Tn teams. They don’t get where they get by luck, they work just as hard as anyone and that includes Summit, Henry County, Dyer County, Gallatin, etc. Now as to this recruiting talk, I know what goes on at Powell but let me assure you NOBODY is being “recruited” to Central. We have a great youth program with quality coaches and I think our results the past couple seasons can be credited to our HS staff. Not sure but can’t say anything about West but I know how our program is run at Central. To the game last night, credit to Summit. They shut down our run game for the most part but we had a good gameplan and our passing attack came through. And as everyone saw, we have a pretty good defense at Central too . Was Summit the best mid/west team? Maybe, maybe not but they were the Hottest team and that’s what ultimately matters. Whoever gets hot at the right time is always the key. Summit has a good future ahead with those two boys. I’ll celebrate for about another week, then prepare for the GRIND again next year. Go Bobcats!

This was a heavyweight battle worth admission. The refs let them play and I think Greenfield's physicality took a toll on Loretto down the stretch. Yes, many questionable calls, but the game remained close til the end. Cant wait for March.

You know losing to Betsy this year twice was a tough one to digest. I think we all know that if it would have been the opposite in those 2 games, Greeneville would have been coming back with a 3pt which makes those loses a little harder today because of knowing what coulda been if Greeneville would have played Springfield today. But I said all that to say this; I never thought I would see myself pulling for Betsy and I am today. I am happy for your fanbase, coaches and especially the players. Looks like you guys are going to be the class 4a state champions. North East Tennessee is now going to have 3 in a row state championships. 3 in a row says a ton about our little ole communities down here in our neck of the woods in NET. There’s no doubt that Betsy & Greeneville will be in the mix again next year and years to come. Gotta give credit to all the coaches and the communities in our area for their support and dedication. Way to go Cyclones, you guys are coming back home to NET as the 4a State Champions in 2019. Also congrats on a perfect season. Congrats to Springfield on a awesome run this year.

We've played them for 50 years. Far as I know never had a problem they weren't more than willing to help anyway they could if we asked. Then again we've never spent the 4 months leading up to the game calling them cheaters and liars either so I guess there's that

LC only had 8 because of penalties and missed opportunities. They are the most complete 1A team in the state this year. I am biased but I believe Huntingdon would have beat Greenback as well.

Except for the moment Dickson nails Swafford. It’s like Swafford hit a brick wall. There’s a video on FB of that moment. Swafford has to see stars after that hit. Once we started utilizing Dickson in the second half, there was no stopping us. Dickson is hard to take down to say the least. He earned that MVP award! Not trying to take anything away from Swafford by any means, he doesn’t get the recognition he gets for no reason. I think our guys had his number to keep him limited.

Meigs was a good team but Peabody is on a different level. Fairley and Peabody are the 2 best teams in 2a. Swafforf was amazing. But we have never let one man best us. We hit him in the mouth and our D line was much faster. Our O line dominated and Dickson was clearly the best player on the field. He was dishng out headaches.

Not gonna engage-instead I’m simply giving an opinion. I think what trader said was true with one major exception/addition—linemen. Not good size kids, but actual 6-2 260+ lb linemen and at least 5-6 of them. OL and the ability to rotate them on DL as needed. Incredible backs like Eric Gray, Chase Hayden, etc ran behind a big athletic line. Lausanne the last 2 years probably averaged 6-3 290 as they had 2 guys 6-5 320+ last year. Not having the beef up front may get you thru the season, but come playoff and especially championship time, you gotta have them. IMO this is what has kept USJ from a gold ball more than anything. They have had plenty of skill players but have usually lacked size on the line to be physical enough against top teams.
